We raise our anchor for the first time and start making out way North! The start of our shake down cruise is HERE and we couldn't be more thrilled. We get right into boat life and within the first week end up at the doctors, we survive an extreme heat wave AND have a little fun along the way.

What is the Cruising Meraki Project?
The “Project” began back in 2018 when we first decided to start working towards a goal of sailing the world as 3 generations. The term “Project” is fitting for us as we are working together collaboratively to achieve a common goal.
meraki [mer-ah-kee] (verb) This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love - when you put “something of yourself” into what you’re doing, whatever it may be.

It looks like contact dermatitis on hands. I had it for years before a chemist advised what it was. Mine (and many others) caused by chemicals in flowing soap. Happy sailing :)
Good to know - thank you for sharing! We did get Tommy’s mystery spots cleared up but we’re not already sure which of the two creams worked or what the cause of the bumps were. I am concerned if it flares up again so thank you for the tip!
When will your parents join the fun?
They will be with us aboard our boat down to California this fall, then fly back to Vic to finalize their boat preparations and we will all rendezvous in Mexico next year.
That hand looks like an allergic reaction to urushiol, the bad part of poison ivy. It's a strong enough oil to cause a reaction from secondary contact. I use caladryl lotion, eases itch, dries the rash
