The 6x4 is a good machine! My is used year round as a work horse. Plows great and can haul more then you could ever fill up the bed with🤠Deere kept them simple and easy to maintain.
We have one of these, since 1996 actually, and still fucking runs pretty good. It doesn't WORTH A SHIT and never has with that light-ass front end and four wheels in the back. It has no ground clearance (6.2" I think?), but it will pull a damn house down and tow anything. Super strong, but very limited in use due to no clearance, no suspension (except front shocks), and being wider than most four-wheeler paths.
Yeah I was thinking that same thing just by looking at it. Looks like it has no ground clearance and looks like it pushes the front tires instead of turning even without a load on, can’t imagine hauling some weight in the bed and in snow. I do bet it would pull a house over though haha
The 6x4 goes everywhere and can pull pretty much anything but doesnt turn very tight corners because of quad rear wheels. 4x4 turns better but gets stuck and cant pull so much weight because it has less grip
6x4 is nice vehicle, but it gets stuck VERY easily, it has only about 10cm free space between ground and engine bottom. The Diesel Gator 6x4 drinks very small amount of fuel, and it can pull and carry very much things.
I busted my hydrolic lift trying to dump a silage bale.. about 1500 pounds.. 500 too much.. also aluminum axle housing wich bends if you over weigh it. they do get stuck in the mud/cow shit if your not careful. we have flipped a few on our property.. they do float.. but upside down.. only problem with them is the ground clearance.. and parts are fucking stupid expensive.. 350 dollars for one fender.. just one example..
Got one of these from my fiancee's parents, quickly started doing some diy mods. It's amazing how versatile these things are!

My favorite part is at 2:19 when that noise stops.

Those gators are awesome, they'll go just about anywhere. I always wondered which one is better off road, the 4x4 or the 6x4.

The older 4x2 Gators are very hard to get stuck and been everywhere with one

The only thing which is more expensive than buying a gator is driving one. JD prices are insane - but you only live once so get a Gator…
