We use have the same model. We love it. It really works good for picking rock. Two of us drive along & you can just step out & pick up the rocks. We have the lift on the bed & it works amazingly well dumping rocks on the rock pile. I think you will really enjoy the Gator.
Very nice piece of equipment. Love the drone view of the green crops growing on a sunny day. Nothing of quality comes cheap today. Everything cost a lot of money.🚜
The 825i is a great Gator, it is smooth with its performance and gets up and goes very nicely. We did the same thing u did, say bye to the Mule and get a Gator but recently we got the new 835m Gator and gave the 825i to my grandfather and he loves it much better than the Mule it seems
Fine video. I have a 2004 Mule 3010 fully tricked out and 1,200 hours. Its 12 years old though when UTVs were first born. No wonder you love the JD 825i. The engine, suspension and cab are light years from the Mule. Enjoy it. Its awesome. When I get too old to drive my tractor, I'll get one of these to replace the Mule. Keep the great videos coming. I really enjoy them.
I am the 2nd owner and use it at my 2nd home about 150 acres haying only so it gets light use. All around utility vehicle for chores and boat hauling. Love the 8251 and your videos.
We just took our 2014 Gator in to trade up to the 2018 835....it has a larger frame...same drivetrain...and the seat is 4 inches wider....we were quoted $10,000 difference !! The base MSRP for the 835 is over $17,000.....give me a break...it's a oversized 4 wheeler with a dump bed...not a pickup or a jeep....So...I'm buying a Geo Tracker and cutting the top off it!!! Selling my gator!!
I always enjoy your music. For a young man you make great music choices for your videos. And very good drone footage also. Your videos are very cinematographic.
you will need a little plug in heater for the winter to keep the windows from fogging. you can pick up a cheap one that plugs into the access. we have the same unit with the same cab.
I am a farmer but I will surely recommend this product to a friend who helps out a farmer during harvest season!! That’s pretty much about to start lol 😂. He lived in Cherokee iowa and actually had a side by side ! What a coincidence I thought!!! 🤔😂
You'll love your Gator! I bought a XUV855D mainly for fence repair (carry a big Puma gas compressor + fencing stuff) and its far exceeded all expectations. I get pretty good mpg and reliability after 7 months has been excellent. I'm glad to see you get one Ryan...even if it's mainly your dads 😜
Wow, what a nice ride... The early mules and Kubota's had terrible seat geometry. Your back had no lean back and the pedals were on the floor, they were very cramped inside. This looks roomy and comfortable. Thanks for posting!
Love that machine , surprised it doesn't have heat with that nice cab especially when you guys are out running around your acreage in the winter months, great machine to do some plowing as well .
I like the John Deere Gator. I have been looking for a good and reliable one for my place. I also want to thank you for growing soy beans. I drink a lot of soy milk and I like to eat roasted soy beans.
We have a 825i and we love it Tint the all the windows but just a tint strip on the front and it will make the cab a lot cooler also we added a light bar on the front due to the factory lights being so dim.
we have the same model at work, only a few years old. You might want to look into the add on heater option as it is a cold tin can in the winter. and the clock on the display is never correct lol, not a big deal. We have a Boss plow for ours and it is useless, it won't push worth a darn. Take care
In TX that would need to have one heck of an AC, I can't imagine setting in a green house like that with 100+ degree weather without some type of air conditioning.
Ryan, I've got the Gator and I'm wondering if you have taken the doors off in the summer, I want to take the doors off for summer but having difficulty doing it. I wonder if you can give me any help. Thanks!
Just make sure if you get in deep water.. once it gets to floor boards.. stop. your air intake is under passenger seat, once that takes on water you are screwed. A friend of mine did that. other then that love my 2016 Gator.
Well, if you guys have learned one thing, it's that any time you make a new purchase, the fanboys spend more time arguing in the comments then solving their personal problems. I haven't been around the new gators enough to have an opinion, I'm sure for a farm it will do great!
Great looking SXS! I am a new sub and have been enjoying your vids. I grew up a farm boy in rural PA. I own a 2013 Kubota 1120d right now and it still looks new to this day and only has 600 miles on it. I just use it for snow plow duty and have a nice Curtis 72" power angle plow system on it. I've been looking to get a new SXS that is more trail friendly than my Kubota. Bottom line is,,,it's pitifully slow, and shifting gears can be a real chore at times. It does however plow very nicely and great on fuel being diesel. I've been reading up on your model in this video and watched several reviews. Sounds like what I am looking for. I love my hydraulic dump bed on the Kubota so I want to keep a power assist dump. The 825i is supposed to be one of the best riding non full sport SXS on the market. I also like that is has basically a inline 3cyl. car engine for power. Being CVT would do away with my shifting woes of the Kubota. Kubota should have fixed that issue long ago. Its just hard to mix a shiftable transmission on what is basically a hydrostatic tractor style engine/trans. It would of been better with a hand throttle and a foot pedal for forward and reverse like a garden tractor. Other than that its been flawless and looks new so selling it will be no issue. My Curtis plow was $4500 alone. Do you know if the CVT belt system on your 825i has a centrifgul clutch to keep constant belt tension at all times? I want one that is set up that way instead of being a "belt slammer" as I call them that fry belts easily. I see the new Kawasaki Mule Pro FX and FXT look to be powered by the same exact engine as your 825i. The JD looks nicer to me, but Kawasaki has a 3yr. warranty...unheard of.lol. I will be doing more research soon. I also want to keep a plow set up like mine which is elec/hydraulic with its own pump instead of going back to a winch powered plow like I used to use on my atv's. Thanks for the great videos. My son loves the tractors..I like you have many engines to maintain...lol! Mine aren't nearly the size of yours though. I only have my old Ford 3910 with FEL and other 3 point attachments left now..It's been a great old 50hp mid sized tractor...sorry so long...thanks again from a new sub...I gotta get a good camera and make some real vids for youtube...just my sons phone cam stuff he and his friends goofed with. I will see how to add pics to my profile here so you can see my Kubota.
19 grand my ass, we have a diesel gator that we picked up for 9k and the only thing it's missing from yours is the cab. Also got a kubota rtv1100 for 17 with a/c heat and will drag that gator through the dirt like a tonka toy. John Deere is so over priced, decent product. Big issue with the gators are the shift linkages are trash and will need modifications to fix.
Don’t know anything about farming nor using utv’s. But the gator just looks cool. I wonder how those great looking glass doors and windows are going to hold up. Do you have the heater option?
I was only talking about it being called a pickup, not about the dog. But I am not sure the dog was in there when they were going 45 mph. They didn't show the back in that scene.
We have a gator it is the exact same but with no cab. Those things have lots of power trust me I have pulled full hay rack full of alfalfa hay with it and it does it just fine. I live about 1 hour from potosi in a little farm town we run about 250acres. It is the town with the Shoe Box
I follow you videos ,o grew up in the Netherlands in the country my parents had a chicken farm and pig farm most of family and around are dairy farms I moved to states work for a seed coating company multi national and live in florida since about 2003 I wondering any dutch farmers in your area
Those 3 cylinders really sound awesome when you stand on the throttle!
George Hallden
When did quality come cheap ?
Your Dad is going to be loving that!!
The Gator matches in perfectly. Your crop is looking great, so far!
The 825i is a great Gator, it is smooth with its performance and gets up and goes very nicely. We did the same thing u did, say bye to the Mule and get a Gator but recently we got the new 835m Gator and gave the 825i to my grandfather and he loves it much better than the Mule it seems
good for you and your family getting something like that gator.
You all work hard on the farm and is nice to have a good machine to help you out.
Just like a John Deere Gator commercial! Helluva job !!
We have a 825i in camo without the glass cab, and it gets a lot of use around our 30 acre wooded property. Nice video!
Love our Mule. Got a new 2022 XC last year. Looks like the JD is a great machine too
A fine dog and a new runabout. Your living heaven on earth sir...may life be long, and continues to prosper. Loved this video! ❤️
To me that doesn't seem like much use in 12 years. Is that normal?
I am the 2nd owner and use it at my 2nd home about 150 acres haying only so it gets light use. All around utility vehicle for chores and boat hauling. Love the 8251 and your videos.
Best of luck with it guys, it should be a great tool for many years!
We just took our 2014 Gator in to trade up to the 2018 835....it has a larger frame...same drivetrain...and the seat is 4 inches wider....we were quoted $10,000 difference !! Nice looking Deere. I wish I had that Mule though, still looked like a sweet machine. Maybe needed a cleanup
I gave two away this week. Rotted
We also have a 825i, and in the summer I would suggest taking the doors off. It makes it much cooler.
Love the dogs attitude-hard to let loose of his toy.
I always enjoy your music. For a young man you make great music choices for your videos. And very good drone footage also. Your videos are very cinematographic.
Thanks!

Keeping it green!

No 4.456 Congratulations with your new gator
Looks like the dog have fun in the new gator!
Hiiiihiii
When I was a kid I was part owner in a 1946 Willys Jeep. This looks like a lot of fun to drive but, my suggestion is, stay on the hard road.
Iguana
Love that machine , surprised it doesn't have heat with that nice cab especially when you guys are out running around your acreage in the winter months, great machine to do some plowing as well .
I think it'll throw off enough heat from the radiator up front. Mostly what we've always needed is a windbreak.
I like the John Deere Gator. I have been looking for a good and reliable one for my place. I also want to thank you for growing soy beans. I drink a lot of soy milk and I like to eat roasted soy beans.
Nice piece of farm equipment and necessary tool, looking fwd to many years service. Dad even got new JD caps.
Nice video here...Like the way you interfaced the drone footage.. You guys got some great looking crops by the way.
Well good luck with it I have had my 825i for 4 years I could not run my ranch with out it.
The John Deere Gator looks like a good piece of equipment. Good Luck with it. Cheers !
that cultivated corn looked real nice !
frosty 316 das ist super...
Love your drone shots A++++++
We have a 825i and we love it Tint the all the windows but just a tint strip on the front and it will make the cab a lot cooler also we added a light bar on the front due to the factory lights being so dim.
nice bit of kit there Ryan .
I just picked my 825M 4 seater up today
Expensive but high quality as anything is from Deere.
Maybe add a light bar for the winter dark afternoons?
"Stellar Awesome Green & Yellow John Deere!!
we have the same model at work, only a few years old. You might want to look into the add on heater option as it is a cold tin can in the winter. and the clock on the display is never correct lol, not a big deal. We have a Boss plow for ours and it is useless, it won't push worth a darn. Take care

I know right
Hi, how much did it cost? How do I do to buy one Gator in Colombia, South America? Thanks 😊
Love john deere. Very good camera and drone video. Keep up the good work.
Nice..... Nothing runs like a Deere; except my '39 Pontiac streetrod :) 👍
Ryan, I've got the Gator and I'm wondering if you have taken the doors off in the summer, I want to take the doors off for summer but having difficulty doing it. I wonder if you can give me any help. Thanks!
At 4:54, what was that implement you had hooked up to the 4020?
Tanner DeWitt a field cultivator
Get ur self a propane golf heater, they sit in the cup holders. Perfect for winter time
Nice looking rig.
Nothing run´s like a deere! i really would like to test this thing out, looks REALLY nice! :D
Just make sure if you get in deep water.. once it gets to floor boards.. stop. your air intake is under passenger seat, once that takes on water you are screwed. A friend of mine did that. other then that love my 2016 Gator.
Id love to have a gator like that. I guess a little 4x4 ranger pickup will have to do for me for now hahah
42+ miles per hour. Dang that is crazy. Hit a stump or rock and your the next astronaut...
Rain issue solved, instead of washing a tractor, let the new one attract the rain and just duster off. Beautiful crops.
Ed Deetz p.o
Ed Deetz q.v.
great buy. did you get a heater for it?
Well, if you guys have learned one thing, it's that any time you make a new purchase, the fanboys spend more time arguing in the comments then solving their personal problems. I haven't been around the new gators enough to have an opinion, I'm sure for a farm it will do great!
it is a nice machine. hope you have good luck with it.
Can't beat that ole mule though. Kawasaki makes a damn good utility.
That is quite the update from the mule
Great looking SXS! I am a new sub and have been enjoying your vids. I grew up a farm boy in rural PA. Now I want a new 825i -- but out older one is still going very strong.
Awesome another green machine!!
Thank you Sloans!
soooo do you have to keep gas on the farm for the gator now? or is that a diesel as well?
Hi what size engine is in it
Happy for you.
@howfarmswork. My opinion the half window half door is pretty good then it doesn't get as hot in the cab
I feel like some Lights bars are going to be put on there :)
So when are you putting that lightbar on it
19 grand my ass, we have a diesel gator that we picked up for 9k and the only thing it's missing from yours is the cab. Also got a kubota rtv1100 for 17 with a/c heat and will drag that gator through the dirt like a tonka toy. John Deere is so over priced, decent product. Big issue with the gators are the shift linkages are trash and will need modifications to fix.
I think the dog is a Kawasaki fan.....a cab without an air conditioner is a greenhouse here in Texas
Don’t know anything about farming nor using utv’s. But the gator just looks cool. I wonder how those great looking glass doors and windows are going to hold up. Do you have the heater option?
guess I'm 83rd lol. looks like your gonna get the Silver Play button b4 Wes
What's the original version of the song that starts at 5:00
Does it have a heater for the winter time?
Great video once again Ryan, you took the light bar off of the mule are you going to put it back on the new gator. Love the videos keep them coming
I know that you said it did not have ac but does it have heat? Thanks for the video.
Who in the world disliked this video!!!!! It was amazing
Did he drive at 46 mph with a dog in the pickup truck ?
Trueit Brassfield I think he did lol
That wasn't a pickup truck
Does not matter. He put his animal at risk...
I was only talking about it being called a pickup, not about the dog. But I am not sure the dog was in there when they were going 45 mph. They didn't show the back in that scene.
Are you guys going to tint the windows?
46mph with a dog in the bed 😂😂
It may be a stupid question but where you guys in mph or in kph? But thats a nice machine.
Nick Deutz they were in MPH. I can verify that they are governed to 44mph but down hill more is achievable.
I have a Polaris, I had to spent 350 off the show room floor to get the clutch to work right
Great vid Ryan Smile More God Bless Stay Safe guys 👍
Are you happy with this still?? Really wanting to get one to run between farms. Thanks !!
what drone do you use?
We have a gator it is the exact same but with no cab. Those things have lots of power trust me I have pulled full hay rack full of alfalfa hay with it and it does it just fine. I live about 1 hour from potosi in a little farm town we run about 250acres. It is the town with the Shoe Box
Well how has this machine work for you just curious as far as reliability and fun Factor
Did you ever try out the diesel model?
My goodness my dog wouldn't get out of my GMC Sierra when I sold it literally took 30 min to get him out!
I have a Kawasaki mule 500 2 wheel drive that my dad bought mid 90s still have it
Nice gator how fast does it go
Great choice jd Gators are awesome machines!👍
Yea Royston!!! Great choice🤘💪
How much you get for mule?
Your gonna miss that mule. I love mine.
What State is this in
and what town
we have one to with that cab once the motor gets warm in the winter the heat from the motor will run you out of the cab lol
I follow you videos ,o grew up in the Netherlands in the country my parents had a chicken farm and pig farm most of family and around are dairy farms I moved to states work for a seed coating company multi national and live in florida since about 2003 I wondering any dutch farmers in your area
Very nice, well wear Dwight and Beth:):)
Now you need to put a light bar in the front and back (and sides).
