Pride Month is celebrated to acknowledge the hardships faced by the LGBTQ+ community for hundreds of years, how far we have come and how far we still have to go. We don't think we are "special".

I wish they had a song like this when I was in my early 20s. I came out to my parents last year with this video, and it apparently made my dad cry a bit too. If people have a problem with who you are, it's their problem not yours. This is a powerful perspective, and it made me more comfortable with who I am, a perfectly normal human being.
This brings tears to my eyes, how heartfelt are these moments. What a thing to even love, and to live that reality with #pride 💜💙💚💛🧡❤️
