- 7 day's backcountry camping in Algonquin Park starting at access point #1 on Kawawaymog Lake.
Our Camp lakes- Day 1 - North Tea West arm
Day 2 - North Tea East arm
Day 3/4 - Manitou
Day 5 - Mangotassi
Day 6 - North Tea West arm
When tripping through Algonquin, I navigate using Maps by Jeff, formally known as Jeff's Maps and some screen shots of the maps are in the video. I purchased my orange cover maps years ago and I'm looking forward to using my new purple cover maps that I've recently purchased for the new season.
Thanks for watching!
Great videos!!!
Glad you like them!
Another fun video, Jay! Hope to see you across the border some time soon.
Maybe one day!
Hilarious scene with me being the guy inside the Recreational Barrel Works barrel. You are awesome!
I'm sure Andy thought of you jumping in the barrel to slurp up all the whisky you've spilt over the years. Keep inspiring people to enjoy the outdoors Kevin!
You have a great bond with Scout. Nothing beats the companionship of a pupper!
And she carries her own pack.
Dude your production value is outstanding, you deserve more subs man
I appreciate that! Keep up the cool vids Eze!
Dude, we are really digging the animations and the video. Great work. Bummer about the fishing, we have always wanted to try fly fishing ourselves. Keep the adventures coming.
Hey guys! 😊

I'll keep trying for that first fish on the fly.
Another great video Jay. It's been a while. A lot of swimming for Scout in this one!
Indeed!
Alex and Jess at Tents and Timbers sent me 😊
Beautiful smallie 👍🏻
Tents and Timbers, I'm a fan too! Always have to get that last cast in and it paid off with a nice big CFL football bass.
Nice fish catch at the end! Hopefully the dog paw is ok? Always enjoyable to see a new video from you. I also have that same map case, it's excellent!
Scout is all good and ready to get back out there. Is you whitewater addiction keeping you on the rivers this year or are planning to return to Algonquin?
Nice to see you two again!
Thanks, it was a fun trip!
Ooooh a new video from JAY!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice to see you with the fly rod, takes a bit of practice but you are half way there by just bringing the rod out there and using it!!
As for the painted rocks... Maybe the portage was flooded and they tried to paddle through it 😂
I have to keep watching DSO video's if I want to get my first fish, I'll find out if it pays off this year. "Maybe the portage was flooded" Lol!
Been missing your videos Jay... welcome back
👋🏻 Dennis
Thanks Dennis! You know how it is, just have to find time to do the edit.
Great video Jay. Just in time for the new season
You know it! I'll hope to get a spring trip in soon.
I love algonquin, my children area
One of my favourite spots too!
Nice video Jay 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Welcome back Jay and scout..
Thanks, we had fun on this one.
I love to watch your videos. Luv, Aunt Bonnie
Great video Jay, really love the shot at 20:00 (thumbnail material!). Was this the September long weekend? I was travelling from Biggar into North Tea on the last day of the long weekend, and I stopped to document a few of the sites on Mangotasi... I think we might have JUST missed each other.
Yeah it was the long weekend, I stayed on Mangotasi on Sept 3th and when I left camp, you may have just been paddling up. I stayed at the west arm by the portage on the 4th and watched a lot of people paddle out.
STILL LESS THAN 1000?!?!? I don't get youtube. Dan Becker gives some reviews and has a bunch of subs, this guy actually makes good content and is still less than a 1000. I subbed when you first started on your first or second video and figured youd be at 30K or so in a year or 2. I don't get it.
Keep up the good work on these videos. I enjoy them so much.
Thanks for the kind words, glad you like them! I enjoy making the video's but I think RUclips prefers quantity and I'm only good for 4-5 videos a year.
