Thilang also sounds similar.... this song may have thilang touches in some places but predominantly GN dhaan.

Priya one doubt: since the arohanam is sa ga re, I have a laymen question - can a raaga have a higher note (ga) before a lower note (re) on arohanam?
Fully Possible. The ragas with non-sequential/Zig zag note progression are called Vakra ragas such as Reethigowla( Arohana : S G₂ R₂ G₂ M₁ N₂ D₂ M₁ N₂ N₂ Ṡ)

Yes. allied Ragas such as Arabhi and Deva Gandhari have same notes but differ in nature by its varied usage of gamakas and phrases. The essence of any Raga( Raga swaroopa) comes out only through gamakas and it's characteristic phrases .
