This game really isn’t that bad !!! It’s a giant love letter to fans. It’s just everyone is always goofing off and never being serious when the time should be serious like in the old games. I really didn’t mind anything else but that and the secret ending with no plans to release another

True! Though from Sucker punch themselves, they weren't serious about making a 4th game, so the ending of 3 was utilized into 4 as canon.

I'm willing to bet that he actually had amnesia, at least at the beginning (since he had at least one major concussion, then got knocked out *again*) and then recovered his memories gradually
I'm sad that they ended the sly cooper games on such a sad note. I wish they made one more where the crew finds sly and then he and Carmelia get back together.

Not really. Orphaned as a child but later discovered his roots, or grew up learning of his lineage normally, but then something happened and THEN he became an orphan. It's more common than you think.

I would've said that this almost sounded like what the Contessa would've done to Carmelita, using the Clockwerk Eyes. But the thing is how would that be possible? She only used them to make others, thieves mostly, tell her where the treasures they've stolen are.
So using hypnosis to basically turn someone into an overall bad guy? It just sounds like some kind of fetish delight to put in fan fiction and fan art.
Again, this is my opinion and theory. But the fact that Penelope SUDDENLY decides to ditch her team AND Bentley to work on making military weapons for MILLIONS of dollars, when she AND Team Cooper were ALREADY given the inheritance by Sly Cooper HIMSELF...
What would Penelope's motive be if her only excuse is due to "Sly's controlling Bentley like a puppet!".
Sly even said it himself near the end of Sly 3: He's NOT like any of his ancestors or even his own Dad. He only learned the tricks of the trade from the Thievious Raccoonus. Nothing more, nothing less.
PLUS, add into the fact that he AND Bentley saved Penelope from both Tsao's Stone Dragon and LeFwee, along with getting her out of the same cycle of winning the same ACES flight championship as the Black Baron.
So the theory that she could've had a twin sister, I'm still sticking to it.
Besides, the future Sly Cooper game could go in a different direction, like how Crash 4 went into a different direction, being the fourth game after the Trilogy Arc games.
So chances are. A decent Sly 4 game won't follow the Thieves in Time storyline, but rather the original Trilogy storyline.
...I really wanna finish playing this series now. Lol. But I think it's kind of cute how the credits said Penelope broke out of jail and keeps sending him postcards of where she's been

I think, Sly became his own ancestor when he was trapped in Egypt in god knows what era. According to the Cooper family chronology, there is an Egyptian ancestor named Slytunkamen and he was a master thief that steals from corrupt Pharaohs. Now.... Slytunkamen was the creator of the thievious racooonus, the only way he would have that idea is from an inspiring notion of thought. My theory is that Sly cooper is Slytunkamen, even their names sounds similar. Additionally, Slytunkamen(Sly) had a son and named him after himself, Slytunkamen II. Slytunkamen II's contribution to the business(thieving) is by discovering Kaine Island and constructing the vault. The only way this would have happen is that Slytunkamen(Sly) told him to do so. This is just a theory and I am not speculating anything.
Irfan Ridzuan That's a probability but I doubt Sly would really change his name unless his servants called him that. It would be weird for his past self to be the one who made the book once his future self got stuck back in time. There's also the fact that Egypt was supposed to be in the game.

I would like to think that sly got some sort of time travel powers frome the explosion of the time machine and then traveled to the present time, the reason i made this theory was obe of slys originally planned abilities, which was traveling through dimensions i think, but i consider that as head cannon of mine.
Thing is the cooper tradition as master thieves is to only steal from the rich, so all coopers did that. Also there is a chance sly was named after his ancestors or that sly is a common name in the family or simply that the devs thought it would be a funny mix between sly and Tutankhamen.

On the other hand, Sly would have created the Thievus Racconus to create a new timeline. Interesting.

I had a theory where Sly becomes the first sly to write the thevious raccoonus, so therefore creating his own family history since he ends up in ancient Egypt after the credits. Sadly there WAS going to be DLC to finish up the actual plot point of that scene, but sony said no to the devs, which SUCKS!
I do wonder if it could've been funnier if he ended up WAY in the future and sees a statue of himself where the Cooper name has become a form of a royalty to society, and he meets his future relatives.

I don’t know why people hated this game. It was a good game. Yes the first 3 are obviously better in their own ways, but this game is fun too.

The plot isn't bad, it makes up a nice adventure with a lot of love and thought definitely put into the Sly series (minus Panelope urgh), so kudos on Sanzaru for trying their best. On its own it's not bad, but the standards of the trilogy was just way too high for Sanzaru to achieve, and the ending was the worst because we're still hanging on a cliff.
I would’ve liked Sly 3 just as much as 2 if only they didn’t get rid of the green bottles.

More than likely we need to petition Sony to develop Sly Cooper 5 and even talk to the voice actors about helping us bring back our favorite Ring Tail Thief (Sly Cooper, Kevin Miller) (Bentley, Matt Olsen) (Murray, Chris Murphy) (Inspector Carmelita Fox, Grey Griffin).

It has been long enough, we need at least one final Sly Cooper game to end the series. It hasn't ended yet on the account Sly still being lost to time, heck I just want this Series to end on a happy note like Uncharted. Seriously, the guy deserves to finally have a family with Carmelita and retire.

The opening cutscene debunked that.
The ending had too many plot twists that are unsolvable. How did everyone know that Le Paradox was evil after his defeat when he literately changed time? How were the criminals transported back to the present? Why DID Penelope betray the gang when she was thankful about being saved twice, being free from beinf Black Baron AND was happy with a life with Bentley? If Le Paradox changed time, wouldn't that mean he would undo the things his ancestors had done as well, including himself? How did Carmelita manage to prove to Interpol about the crimes Le Paradox had done? I could go on and on with questions, but I don't wanna cause any headaches for others in thinking this! But I just wanted to say ONE thing...If Sanzaru had planned to NOT do another Sly Cooper game, the LEAST they can do is not only make the TiT game only enjoyable with more villains to beat and the return of the other Cooper Gang members, but make the ending into SOMETHING that's not a cliffhanger! I mean give me a break! REALLY!? A cliffhanger with no answers... That's like ending a cartoon series without a proper ending to the overall series.... Trust me, I've seen cartoon series where it ended with no proper ending like the toons of today!
With Penelope i felt that she was brainwashed into what she is, I mean she was enjoying her life with Bentley! We see that, until one day when she went missing, which means she was kidnapped.
