Fantastic! Well done. Brought back all the great memories of when I rebuilt my 1971 Fiat 124 coupe, my wife helped with the windscreen too. Enjoyed the video so much. Thanks.
Hi there! I just discovered your channel a few days ago, and I’ve already watched most of your Fiat 124 series twice-amazing content, really fantastic work! I’m based in France and have been hunting for a Fiat 124 Spider for a long time. I’m currently in discussions with the owner of a 1982 Fiat Spider 2000, 59.000 miles, which seems to be in pretty good condition. It hasn’t run in four years but has been stored in a dry environment. The owner says the engine starts but stalls immediately, he things it’s an injection issue . Based on your videos, this sounds like it could be related to the distributor not being on time or a vacuum issue, as you’ve dealt with similar symptoms. Could be the fuel injector since these car are equipped with bocsh l-jetronic … Before visiting the car and potentially buying it and following your renovation path (although I don’t have your skills). I’d like your thoughts: Does the fact that the engine starts and stalls suggest that the motor is fundamentally sound and just needs fine-tuning, or could it also point to more serious issues, such as compression problems or internal damage? What would you recommend I check during my visit to quickly rule out any major red flags? Thanks in advance for your advice!
I thought the same thing, but that was the seat belt warning light and the handle looks high without the center console in. It was down. Good eye though! ;)
Nice job bro! That's dedication. Especially in a super hot garage. I think you doing a speed-rebuild will pay dividends on your next project. Repetition is key to success with these projects. If you need any more practice I have an E320 engine replacement project going on this weekend. 😎
Great to see it start and run. You will have lots of fun driving it around. I just had one question it's that it's okay to run it without the cold start injector hooked up? So it can run just fine without the cold start injector?
That was a great video with such good info on suspension, timing and shim adjustment.
It’s all good to check before a first start
Congratulations! Whoooo hooooo!!!! Very happy for you.
Nice work.
Nice job! Wheels look great, too. Man, is it never not hot in Texas? That garage fan is always on! lol
I mean… Nov-Jan I don’t have the fans on lol

Looking forward to the interior videos! Keep ‘em coming!

Did you drive around with the e-brake on? Saw the light and the handle looked up.

Yup! Not needed. Mine is disconnected and starts just fine. It takes an extra second or so to start, but that’s alright.
Watching you try to get a car running is painful to watch, haven’t you heard of static timing?
