It's never occurred to me that bills one eye is pretty much the equivalent of a third eye, and that he likely has some sensory organs on his sides which are imperceptible from a 3d perspective. We only see the eye which allowed him to see outwards
Thinking about it... Bill lived in a flat dimension, still his eye was UP Until he left his dimension for the first time and saw it from above, he lived his entire life up to that point unable to see his parents, his reality, he could LITERALLY only see the stars, he was blind and alone, cursed into a childhood disconnected from his peers, no wonder he said "It was agony"
If Bill's dimension follows the same logic as the Flatland movie, 2D shapes don't have their eyes at the center, they have them at the sides. Hence why Bill's centered eye was a mutation.
THIS IS SO GOOD OMG!!! I have a theory that maybe Bill's dimention worked simmilarly to the one of In Stars and Time. That when trying to break the rules or bonds of said world it would try to correct itself first few times, but ultimatelly shatter.
I did not expect another In Stars And Time fan, especially on a Gravity Falls video. It does sound very plausible, but the Universe correcting itself was because of things such as duplicates and contradictions, which would raise the question, was attempting to make the 2D dimension 3D a duplicate of the already existing 3D dimension or was it contradicting with something?
2D is meant to be 2D nothing more… having 2 3rd Dimensional Planes wouldn’t make sense at least within the context of multiple spatio-temporal planes existing simultaneously while each rising planes adds a different level of existence to the already established laws. 1st Dimension:Length 2nd Dimension:Length and Height 3rd Dimension:Length, Height, Width Bill was never supposed to be able to push Euclydia past it’s 2nd dimensional boundaries, it wasn’t supposed to be capable of transitioning into 3D Space in the first place, so when it came into contact with what Bill perceived as: “The Stars” the whole Freaking Plane just shattered, or maybe got Dissipated on an atomic level…? I dunno, the details of what was left after Euclydia was destroyed was very vague… So it’s possible it could have been burned in some other way that our mortal minds can’t exactly comprehend. Regardless, Bill Screwed up, No Fault of his own though. He just wanted to show his people the 3rd dimension. If I was in his position and I had a random birth-defect that allowed me to see the 4th dimension, and everyone around started calling me crazy, I would want to prove to everybody that the what I was seeing was real too. (Though, I wouldn’t go to the extent that Bill went too)
@@alirezaomrani7650 Theoretically, Bill could show the 2nd dimension the 3rd dimension. The issue is, they would still see it in 2 dimensions. It's like if we turned around in the 4th dimension; if you take the 4th dimension as a LITERAL dimension, a space where matter exists, then turning around within it would be, to us, like matter shifting around us. The 2nd dimension would essentially see a giant wall appear, growing until it reaches the hemisphere of the star at which point it shrinks. They would also probably die to radiation poisoning and burns. Also, the fact that Bill can straight up just MOVE the 2nd dimension makes me even more scared of the possibility of a 4th dimensional creature, since they would be able to just deadass destroy the entire 3rd dimension by accident. tl;dr a 2&1/2 dimensional view could exist, it would just be REALLY confusing to the 2nd dimension's inhabitants.

I haven't gotten a chance to read the book yet myself, so please correct me if I'm wrong but from what I've gathered by outside sources Bill knows that his parents are dead as well as Eclydia but faceing this is a whole different deal. So his repressed memories of them are a coping mechanism on his part. He himself is not yet ready to face it but Theraprism is forcing him to deal with his emotions on that matter because he quite literally does not have any other distraction but reflect on his actions and face his trauma. Him taking to art therapy is the first hint of him stepping forward, even if it hurts because we subconciously still process through things we create. He first has to deal with his emotions before he can even consider making a lasting redeeming effort. His obsession on breaking reality is also a trauma response from what I can tell because he would rather be insane without having to deal with consequenzes than admit it and having to live with not only a broken mind but also the agonizing actions of your own consequenzes, no matter if the destruction of his home was intended or not (given from what I've heard not intended but definetly still what happened in the end, I just wanted to mention it regardless). In the end Bill really has a long journey ahead before he can really get better mentally and maybe in future even by actions to redeem himself. I, personally would love to see that but I also wouldn't be suprised if that wasn't the case. Some guy said bill indeed didn't do it with intention (well, a little) but more like a kind of accident, forgot where he found the info but it was some official thing
True. Plus it seemed like it was some sorta Science Project or something that he was intending to reveal to everyone. Or maybe a public announcement, to his townspeople. Regardless, the whole thing seemed like he was planning on revealing it to a large group of his people.
@@txdorovaaA scalene triangle is a triangle in which all three sides are in different lengths, and all three angles are of different measures. (Sorry if you still don't understand)
I think what Bill tried to do here is that he tried to get his family and friends out of the bounds of their flat 2 dimensional worlds, but he accidentally snapped his dimension and it got destroyed, killing everyone he knows and love, he got so angry with himself and blamed it on the stars so he destroyed the stars by burning his own dimension to utter oblivion, and this cause him to get a PTSD.
@@EstrogenCubing Yeah… Though everything that happened afterward was Bill’s own way coping with his guilt. Which was admittedly, f*cked up. (Dude, murdered thousands of life-forms from across the multiverse just to escape his own Trauma. That ain’t healthy, NGL)
What I think happened is he got so sick of being bullied and being called a fool so he found some trace of the axolotl god and that how he got his powers, he then set his world to flames and screams, until nobody was left, so comes his mission to the 3rd dimension
Nice theory! But the new official book of Bill chiper confirmed the reason his dimension got destroyed. It was basically because Bill was the only one who could see the third dimension in a two dimensional place, nobody else could. So, by trying to show them, he accidentaly destroyed his whole dimension to ashes (all this happend while he was a kid). In the book it is also explained that Bill was actually happy there, and after destroying his home, he became crazy.
Sometimes when you look for answers and find it you wish you hadn’t, ignorance is bliss, no one is born evil they either go through something that’s so bad that it makes them go on a path of destruction to get to the greener grass, or something that was truly evil corrupted them, sometimes people do bad things on good intentions
I assume yes /that was just a joke or maybe he lied because his original name reminds him of home what supports that is the axolotls poem: Saw his own Dimension burn misses home and can't return says he's happy he's a liar blame the arson for the fire. He clearly regrets what he's done even though he doesn't admit it so I don't think he's original name is something Supernatural
I saw this incredible comic, similar to this one, where the characters of his dimension were physically stuck on the plane. Cipher, attempting to show them the stars by rotating the dimension, moved the environment... but left the people behind, on the plane. It was genuinely disturbing - the way it was drawn was as if they had been organically connected to the "paper", and painted Bill in a different light than I'd seen before.
If TOH, Amphibia and Gravity Falls are connected, then maybe it'd be possible for Bill to have somehow gotten the archivists involved on purpose and burn his realm. The theory has more holes than SpongeBob but I'm just putting it out there
Mmmmm……. Nah I think this one’s too far fetched. The Archivists are more Inter-Stellar beings rather than Interdimensional. Their standing doesn’t fit in with Bill’s narrative
@@alirezaomrani7650 Fair enough, although didn't it say they travel the multiverse somewhere? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think their job is to preserve things from all dimensions or something like that
But then bill had a very good idea. He used f5. You see, using f5 gave him a whole new perspective and he was able to see a chest he couldnt have seen before.
it could be that he tried to take them out from their plane 2D creatures would have no left and right side to them, only outside border, so if you were to be 3 dimensional or could see 3 dimensions you would see their insides and if such creature were to travel into 3D world, all of its organs would just fall out into the new 3d dimension
Sixty degrees that come in threes. Watches from within birch trees. Saw his own dimension burn. Misses home and can't return. Says he's happy. He's a liar. Blame the arson for the fire. Imagine truly living in a 2D world Not a 2d animation with the illusion of 3d. ACTUAL 2D. that’s something we can hardly even imagine. And can only attempt to understand
2D creatures usually have little to no depth perception anyways do him even having slight depth perception would be the equivalent of some random person being able to slightly look away from the confines of 3D space
On the day bill cipher died he used the trick he’d never tried Shattered broken not yet dead cipher left the con man’s head A desperate plea some panicked prayers to meet the frilly guy upstairs
Now that I think about it, Monika and Bill have quite the similarities don't they? -both can see past their world's boundaries -from their world only THEY can see through -both having the power to manipulate their realities' space and time -both are also traumatized asf Man I feel bad for these two, this doesn't mean that their actions are right, but still... that sucks
Bill: So then I had a very good idea: I used F5. See, using F5 gives me a whole new perspective, allowing me to accidentally kill everyone in my dimension.

Once again only time will tell and the whims of Alex Hirsch if he feels like sharing more about our favorit Dorito and the world of Gravity Falls.
Billy lived in a flat world with flat bodies and with flat minds
And he should have stayed there.
And flat dreams
i feel bad for bill going through all that pain at once, slowly being erased form by form, and then getting punched into pieces.

They'll see.
Yes, the last words of Bill Cipher before he thought that by changing his dimension's laws, his family and his species can finally see the 3D realm.
"Why did you do it?"
He might think:
"Because he loved his parents. He wanted to make them see what he saw..."
Or was that a lie too?
0:21 BILLY THE STARS ARE B L U E. BILLY-
Some guy said bill indeed didn't do it with intention (well, a little) but more like a kind of accident, forgot where he found the info but it was some official thing
well in the book its implied he was trying to show them the 3rd dimension rather than destroy euclydia which would make it accidental
True. Plus it seemed like it was some sorta Science Project or something that he was intending to reveal to everyone.
Or maybe a public announcement, to his townspeople. Regardless, the whole thing seemed like he was planning on revealing it to a large group of his people.
He tried to fold euclidia so that it resembled a 3d space but it couldn't handle it so it was destroyed
"Once there was a jazzy triangle"
His top hat belonged to his triangle father
Yup. Euclid was his name.
Now being Ashes are his Game.
Love how scalene is a scalene triangle for some reasons
what is a scalene triangle?
(english isn't my first language)
@@txdorovaaA scalene triangle is a triangle in which all three sides are in different lengths, and all three angles are of different measures. (Sorry if you still don't understand)
@AverageBelamKid oh, in my language we just call it a different-sided triangle😂thank you for explaining!
OMG his eye literally looks at the Z-axis of his X-Y dimension.
Bill had the biggest ragequit ever. He tried to make others see his point of view, they disagreed, and he burned them all💀
Uhhh… that’s not exactly what happened…
(Sorry if this was meant to be taken a joke)
@@alirezaomrani7650 it's mostly a joke, but the book of bill does hint that it was him who slaughtered his dimension as well as the show
@@Morales3088 The point is he didn't slaughter them on purpose
@Morales3088 it was an accident

It saw agony, and it was agony.
Wait so. . . Has it been retconed that his real name would freeze anyone who heard it into stone with a look of horror and ecstacy on his face?
I assume yes /that was just a joke
or maybe he lied because his original name reminds him of home
what supports that is the axolotls poem:
Saw his own Dimension burn
misses home and can't return
says he's happy he's a liar
blame the arson for the fire.
He clearly regrets what he's done even though he doesn't admit it
so I don't think he's original name is something Supernatural
@@FriskMeemur billy is probably just a nickname based on bill, rather than his real name
I’m assuming he lied about his true name having that effect and Bill is honestly his real name, it doesn’t exactly incite fear in his enemies.
Flatland is a good book but those circles man actually never mind I like there evilness but hate there Ignorance
So smart yet so stupid...
@@Nico-o1r I think some so dood or doods created a movie of flatland good movie got me hooked never checked the upload time tho

Seens it's public domain too
I like the idea he destroyed his world by accident instead of like how he phrased it.
Its all fun and games until a funny triangle rotates the 2nd dimensions by 20°
If TOH, Amphibia and Gravity Falls are connected, then maybe it'd be possible for Bill to have somehow gotten the archivists involved on purpose and burn his realm. The theory has more holes than SpongeBob but I'm just putting it out there
Bill never want to burn his home
@@rhythmheaven
Then maybe the Archivists were getting unnerved with Bill's power so they burned his realm?
Mmmmm……. Nah I think this one’s too far fetched.
The Archivists are more Inter-Stellar beings rather than Interdimensional. Their standing doesn’t fit in with Bill’s narrative
@@alirezaomrani7650
Fair enough, although didn't it say they travel the multiverse somewhere? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think their job is to preserve things from all dimensions or something like that
@@pranshuvittalam225Anyway the book implies that it was Bill who burnt his own dimension

“I can’t get the stickers off the paper”
it could be that he tried to take them out from their plane
2D creatures would have no left and right side to them, only outside border, so if you were to be 3 dimensional or could see 3 dimensions you would see their insides
and if such creature were to travel into 3D world, all of its organs would just fall out into the new 3d dimension

This is a really, really interesting way to describe the backstory of Bill, i wish this was/will be in the real series
Bill never really learned his lesson from this terrible mistake, just because stars are there doesn’t mean that you should reach for them.
Imagine truly living in a 2D world
Not a 2d animation with the illusion of 3d. ACTUAL 2D. that’s something we can hardly even imagine. And can only attempt to understand

In the series, Bill saying he "liberated his dimension" ... bro. he doesn't realize does he
He does, he’s just lying to himself, he knows what he did, he just refuses to admit it was his fault.
... now i understand what they say ...
"villians are not born villians... time made them villians..."
Fantastic job!
He supposedly accidently destroyed his world
BILLY WHY
He just wanted to show them the stars...
Sixty degrees that come in threes.
Fun fact: ironically, billy having 1 eye would make him have bad depth perception.
2D creatures usually have little to no depth perception anyways do him even having slight depth perception would be the equivalent of some random person being able to slightly look away from the confines of 3D space
damn that must suck, imagine destroying your home dimension just by trying to flip it over
I don’t think he was trying to flip it, I’m pretty sure he was trying to make it into a 3d shape
