🗣️ Ask a question on settled status for EU nationals in the UK in the comments below and I will answer it!
If you have any private questions about settled status in the UK, send me an email to tom.bradford@freeths.co.uk for a free initial consultation.
Settled status is an important subject for EU nationals living in the UK. There is a deadline for applications, and a deadline for residence in the UK. This video covers these deadline, and looks at three scenarios:
    1. German
    2. Spanish
    3. French
The three examples should cover most scenarios, so check out this video to work out your next steps, and determine whether in 2018 you are going to apply for settled status, permanent residence, a registration certificate, or whether you wish to naturalise as a British citizen.

    Hello Tom!
Thank you for all the information you are sharing with us!
I would like to know what is the minimum time living in the UK, required for pre-settled status? I've heard you need to provide evidence for a minimum of a day out of the last 6 months?
    Thank you in advance!

Very useful. Trust me, you'll get a bigger audience later on in the year and especially by March next year. You're the only one on RUclips giving out information on this matter. Many thanks.

what about the family member of a British citizen who has RC based on EU rules (SS route)?

Very helpful content....which reinforces my idea that this whole settlement scheme thing really doesn't make any sense. it's all arbitrarily defined and borderline illegal. I have lived worked and paid taxes and NIC for 17 years in the UK, then i stayed out of the country when i lost my job instead of claiming benefits and now I have lost my right to even reside in the UK again, after hundreds of thousands of pounds paid in taxes in the past.

hi Tom, first thank you for great helpful content! May I ask what is the best way get approval for an elderly parent to be able to stay with me as long as necessary. I recently have been granted indefinite leave in the UK. My mother has Germany nationality and due to her age (71) - does not speak English much - she stays with me at times longer than 6 months If you have covered this topic already kindly provide link. Many thanks in advance Pinar

    Hi Mr Bradford,
I've got a copy of tenancy agreement, a bank statement and a letter from college from the last 5 years to prove residence for my application for settled status. Would that be OK?
    Kind regards
