  • When God told us to adopt a deaf girl from Africa, we had no idea what was in store for us. For 6 years Eden had no language, no communication, and no concept of love or family.
    Wella is from Ghana, Eden is from Nigeria, Harriette and Valor are from my womb.

    😊she is the cutest! Even when you're profoundly or even have a tiny little hearing. That vibrations are something else! I was born fully hearing, lost 100% of my left suddenly at 15 years old. And started to lose the right at 24, I'm 33 now and I'm profound but i remember sound i even cheat on the tests 😂😂😂 they laugh so hard at me! Im convinced i can heard more than i can because i help myself reading lips and body language and using vibrations and my aid still helps a bit, next step is a cochlear. But that vibrations from the tests can drive you nuts!!! 😢explain a lot to Eden, as much as she can understand what it can happen so she can give you all better response on what she's feeling and also it's very overwhelmed because even profoundly deaf, vibrations can be felt and its a weird feeling. I have autism and every time i have check ups i end up crying completely overwhelmed (of course i also keep going down with my hearing).
    Checking vibrations with her it's a great tool, she can learn a lot! I know if i have someone behind me several times. Instead of looking for my eye contact you can hit the table at meals, you can do big steps and generate vibrations on purpose to not scare her by appearing behind. She can feel a car coming by put a foot in the road. She can dance, enjoy music. Im actually a special Olympics gymnast and i do my floor routine woth music 😊
    You can dm me whenever you want, seriously vibrations is learning and is life changing! @agusfernandez_uru IG ❤

    I’m an audiologist at a school for the deaf. So glad the family signs so she has access to language and communication! An SLP can help her work on general language skills, not just speech, as you probably know. Your county or state should have an office for disability support that can help with funding for service/therapies/equipment for her at home. I know you homeschool, but might want to consider at least a summer camp at a school for the deaf so she can be more connected to the deaf community.

    Maybe cochler implants could help her to be able to hear, it is covered by most insurances. Also after a while it could maybe help her to start speaking or reading lips, with speech therapy. There is a youtube channel The Deal Family who has a daughter who is deaf and got cochlear implants and now is able to hear and talk. When your daughter is upset she is probably frustrated because she can't express or say to you what she wants or needs. Sign language is good communication but it takes some time to get used to. Some helpful things are like having an ipad or pictures of things she wants like, images like outside, or park, or food items, or feelings....sad, happy,ect...Also if she could type or write she could express her feelings faster and easier. She is young, she may not know all of the sign language since she is still learning and young. Yall are amazing parents, love your channel.

    • @stuff1784
      @stuff1784 3 месяца назад

      You have to understand that a child getting cochlear implants doesn’t mean they will speak afterwards. She is already an older child, so she won’t be able to speak like a regular person would at this point.

      @@stuff1784 muy cierto...a la mayoria de niños menores de 5 años le operan implantes cocleares porque ellos aprenden a escuchar rapido con ayuda de terapias... hace 10 años a mi amiga que tenía 40 años le pusieron implante coclear pero a ella le molesta oir mucho ruido y no logró escuhar porque no sabe como identificar cada sonido, o ruido.. me parece que ella no quiere acostumbrar por la edad.
      Soy sorda de nacimiento, pero no quiero implantes coclear que me ofrecieron.. estoy bien como soy, y solo llevo mi audifono normal en el oido izquierdo que si escucho poco (solo sonidos graves, no agudos) , porque mi oido derecho no me funciona nada. Aprendi a hablar y escribir cuando yo tenia 2 años y medio en un colegio especial y con mucha terapia. Bendiciones para toda la familia Wilson

Please compile the scriptures where JESUS CHRIST healed deaf persons. Pray them daily over Eden and ask GOD to heal her deafness. Also, read and pray over her John 11 daily. Let GOD be the One to issue The Final Verdict and Report, in JESUS' Mighty Name, Amen 🙏.

    Hello, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in your life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
