Dr Hussain - that was very helpful, thank you. I had an ACL graft and meniscus repair, and I was wondering about doing calf raises at the edge of the bed inside the first few weeks - But this video has confirmed that I shouldn’t be doing them.
Had ACL reconstruction and partial meniscectomy 5 days ago. I was doing straight leg raises and walking in cast on Day 2 (a lot of pain) but my doc is aggressive and I feel it has paid off because today most of the swelling is gone. Haven’t had painkillers in 2 days and I am comfortably doing quad contractions, leg raises, heel drags and some hyperextension. I feel getting it flexed early on is key otherwise the scar tissue will make it very hard for a quick recovery.

Hi.met with an accident on 23 feb 19 had plaster for one and half month ,for partial acl tear but astill unable to bent my knee 90degree after having physical therapy for almost 15days,but stiffness and sourness return ,plz suggest some solutions
I tore my ACL 2 years ago as well as cracking a bone in my knee and didn't have it operated on, had my leg in a cast for 2 months and lost loads of muscle. After 3 lots of physio, low impact exercise and muscle building exercises my legs are almost symmetrical in muscle tone, but I still get pain and stiffness in my knee despite it healing well according to an MRI scan :( I sometimes wish I had it operated on but I've read that people still have lots of trouble after surgery and even regret it.
bruh get the operation done. I tore my acl and meniscus back in hs. Im 21 now and just got surgery, it hurts but eventually this pain should go away once im fully recovered
I had my ACL surgery exactly 2 week ago, but still I can Bend my knee upto 20-25° only. Is this normal? My physio said at this moment it should be 35-40°. How to achieve this, as it's very painful while bending.
UNKNOWN #PRINCE same how are y’all holding up? I’m at 2 in a half weeks and can’t bend it at all feels like It’s locked and painful my PT said I should’ve been moving it day 3 of surgery but my surgeon said to rest till post op appointment which was 10 days so 16 days total of not moving it
@Explosure games- Basically first 10-14 days need to take full rest. Once stitches removed on 12th day, your physio asked you to start bending and target is basically 5 degree per day or 30 degree per week. But thing is that while you doing this the pain level is so so high. So my suggestion is try as much as you can tolerate. In my case first 5week from operation only 30 degree only bending so physio gave me shock by saying if it won't get bend 60-70° till next week then we need to go for re-operation. I got so scared and on the same night I went in depression and took decision that whatever will happen I will give my best and started exercise and didn't think about any kind of pain and mentally became strong. Then in next 2 days I covered 30° to 100° directly. Now physio got the shock, how I did? and his intention was clear, he just frightened me, so that I could give some efforts. So it is all depends on our mentality. If we feel it is paining then our reacts accordingly but once you prepared from mentally then you will forget the pain. Now I am fully recovered. Best luck to you all

Then I got to 30 degrees and now I’m at 105. I’m still doing PT. My best recommendation is to first put one pillow under the knee to bend it a little while you lay in bed. Was it safe?
Yeah the more pain you can handle early feel free to handle it cause it makes it way better later
@@ahmadta2061 yeah man I tore my acl, meniscus, and mcl recently and my ortho did the same thing to me. I've been told it helps to preserve range of motion and though it might be painful.... ultimately it'll actually save you time and pain in the long run. If you do it right, of course
Saya cidera ACL, Cuma bisa berangan-angan karena saya tidak ada biaya 😭
Please turn to Jesus He loves you very much, i was ill for many years but the doctors couldn't really help me, i don't blame them, there was only so much that they could of done for me, Then Jesus gave me a miracle and healed me, He is the God of miracles, God has done amazing things in my life and in the life's of people i know, He can do the same for you and yours, When you need Him call on Him, He is the God of comfort and will there for you when you call on Him, The bible tells us in Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, God saved someone i love from an illness leading to death, There is nothing impossible to God, It's as simple as asking Jesus into your heart and life to be your personal Lord and Saviour, confess your sins to Jesus, and Jesus will for give you, If you truly seek Him, Jesus will answer you, i know this because He answered me when i called out to Him,
