Very interesting video Jane, thank you. I am glad thet Derek is better and enjoying life. As for the heatwave it was good while it lasted 4 days! But the best place to be in a heatwave is beside the sea and the best place in Blackpool is Bispham especially when the Lake District mountains are in view. Xxx

It's a DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Very lightweight and good quality. Also reliable - unlike the GoPro!

According to the Visit Blackpool website, it's Friday 30th August 2024 and runs until 5th January 2025. The switch on celebrity will be announced nearer the time.

I love dandelions and I enjoy seeing Mare's Tails - to the point of maybe seeing if they will grow inside like my parlour fern! I am the rare sort of person who does not think of anything growing out of the ground as a weed or unsightly or unwanted. If I had a garden it would be a jungle!
OK ... if I am honest I would not go as far as knotweed!
Each time I see The Big One I think of the £50 entry fee charged for passing through the turnstile into The Pleasure Beach Resort. The amount of expendable incme needed to take a family of four for a day there including food and drinks etcetera must be impressive. I have heard of people not able to cope with long queues for rides on baking hot days so there must be disappointments ... Yes, it must cost a lot of money to keep this fun fair going but surely an affordable fee would bring more people in and they would return more frequently.
However this ensures the attractions on the piers get plenty of custom!
I think we need a Jane and Kevin drive on the dodgems with the go pro!

Mares Tail is 100% invasive though and it completely takes over everything else so you'd end up with nothing but that in your garden. Hate the stuff!

Mares tail is a nightmare. My poppies are looking good,deep cerise,Pale pink and a red one, brightens up the garden. An ice cream testing vlog would be good Jane 😮.

The sea always looks lovely when it has got the blue colour so relaxing .
I think so to, North Pier is the best place to sit and watch the waves it's nice and peaceful up North way. 🙂
