Note that chinchillas can live for 20 years or more sometimes. They are adorable and lots of fun, but also a lot of work and a huge commitment. While I don't discourage people wanting chinchillas, I would encourage you do lots of research, planning, and look if you have good exotic vets in your area. Also, if you go ahead and get one, please look into chinchilla rescues instead of pet stores! Rescues will often help you find the chin with the personality that matches yours the best and you will be giving a great chin a second chance at a happy home.

Well my Chinchilla Name is Crystal in she looks like a very young Chinchilla I bought her at Pet Super market in may 16, 223 she was about three weeks old and she is so cute she is a light gray girl and she don’t fear dogs because my grandson Puppy ran and our bedroom in he went to Crystal Cage barking and Crystal ran from the back of her Cage and came to the front trying to fight the dog and that was so funny because she was trying to bite in bark back at him like she Said let me get him with her hands up ready to fight and my daughter thought that was so funny 😂 my Chinchilla don’t Play in she don’t fear any Puppy she is Just like my Daughter because she will fight anyone that try to hurt her and they both are stick and my Chinchilla have lil small Ears almost look like human ears.
so im guessing chinchillas dont get territorial in their cages? I only know piggie world lol, and after a bonding session is successful we have to do full cage cleans so no ones smell is there and they can begin their lives together in a clean new cage. since you didnt change the shavings im guessing its not a big issue as long as the small bonding sessions work out. It was also interesting to find out that chinchillas bond well with those short sessions, piggies its all or nothing you grab an oven mit put them in a small neuteral area and pray no one draws blood or excessivly chases. but also chasing isnt bad, ball fights arent always bad, and humping is amazing... along with eating together and grooming and/or peacefully laying down. Yeah piggie bonding is a stressful thing lol, since i only have these 2's bonding videos i know they can fail but it seems like a less stressful event than piggies since its smaller sessions.

Chinchillas are a TON of care, your house will need to be NEVER hot, not even 77, also chinchillas need big cages and will die of a heat stroke if they are too hot, you also can’t bath them with water, they need dust baths, not only that, they aren’t what you are looking for, chinchillas aren’t very cuddly depending on the chinchilla, if you are looking for a loving and cuddly animal I’d recommend a rag doll cat or a dog .
Could Linus be what my exotic vet called ornery, meaning that much of an adult chin's grumpiness might be alleviated by visiting a female? I know people keep esp males sex-free successfully for long times, but "some" chins seem to be more socialized and relaxed with an occasional visit.
I really love your channel, but your cages are very toooo small for Chinchillas!!! I owned Chinchillas by myself ( 3+3 ) and the minimum recommend for 3 is the dopple amount from 2 cages of yours… chinchillas spring up to 1 Meter above… so your cage need to be minimum 1-2 Meter height 🙈 normally, the cage for a chinchilla is about a bedroom cupboard… So please check if you can get them a better home

But I got a question, no brushing? What about when they are shedding? Should I brush or let him get it?
My chinchilla loves to cuddle with me as long as I don't touch him and don't move.
