I like to say people that loves to listen ( Actually listen ) to music, loves Metal. Because metal is talent. there is layer after layer on every instrument. People in a good metal band can play any song they hear, but if you take someone from some random pop band, they would not be able to play many of these things from a metal band. The music is just so much more, there is so much to it, and often the lyrics have deep meaning connected to the music. People that does not like metal are those that vibe to music, but do not really listen. They don't really care for music, they can enjoy it, it can be important. but only as something to vibe to. They don't actually care about the music it self, but just the feeling they get when they hear it. And you have to care about music to care for metal. At least that is what I think.
I really like this epic power metal infused deathcore sound Lorna Shore has been doing. Haven't gone far into their back catalog, but with that change, that extra spice and Wills unrelenting vocal prowess this band is one of the coolest bands to come out of Deathcore in a while (Slaughter too). Either way it is refreshing to hear something new and creative in a relatively predictable sub-genre. I'm ready for the hate comments.

I used to be the same way with this kind of music. When i was 12, i dabbled in metalcore where scream vocals werent as intense and was combined with clean vocals pretty often. Then i learned about Chelsea Grin and original BMTH (when BMTH was still deathcore). I wasnt sure about the vocals at first but it grew on me so quick and in such a way that i kept looking for heavier and heavier vocals among the deathcore bands i was getting into. Im 25 now and its one of my fav genres that i listen to almost daily. And deathcore shows are UNREAL. Some of nicest and most enthusiastic people you'll ever meet in a pit.

This song hasn't really hit me like that even though I still love that symphonic bit at the start. Maybe it'll grow on me, I dunno, a few more listens perhaps. Anyhoo, that's just my ten pennies worth of an opinion, my point of view, which doesn't mean it's going to be everyone or anyone else's perspective.

Lorna Shore is HIGHLY under-rated as a true metal band. I have been a fan of metal for 48 years, and these guys impressed the HELL outta me. Will Ramos is inhuman as a vocalist. Look forward to hearing much more of them.

I find what really helps, this music is also way heavier than the metal i normally listen to, is to check out the lyrics. I find being able understand the story being told, especially in these death metal bands(super epic stories), really increases my appreciation for this kind of music. Like in this case, Icarus eating the sun holy shit thats so fucking epic.

Yes, 100% agree with you on vocals like this! But man, Lorna Shore has me shivering. Literally don’t know what to do or think and feel when listening to them, and only they can pull it off! Definitely give this song a 9.5/10. I just really hate how I don’t know what he’s saying, even tho he KILLS it.

I find what really helps, this music is also way heavier than the metal i normally listen to, is to check out the lyrics. I find being able understand the story being told, especially in these death metal bands(super epic stories), really increases my appreciation for this kind of music. Like in this case, Icarus eating the sun holy shit thats so fucking epic.
