Nadu is 1. on the banlist, The One Ring is likely 2., Grief somewhere after, while definetely very unfun probably still behind cards like Guide/Ocelot/Wrath of the Skies in terms of powerlevel.. No way Grief gets banned and Ring doesn't.
I mean, The One Ring *has* to go before Grief does. Like there’s no way it’s Grief first.

Banning Grief will let combo decks to run rampant. Committing to scam decks aren’t strong enough right now with Boros/Mardu Energy that can still get by from top decking
Banning furry was not a mistake IMO. Being able to destroy 4 creatures for free makes so many archetypes unplayable it was bad for diversity.

Grief is not even a problem in modern right now. The problem cards are Nadu and The One Ring. Boros energy and Mardu energy are playing The One Ring now. The grief hate is truly subjective because objectively it is not the worse thing at the moment.
Decks that play grief make up at most 9% of the meta. The top black decks mardu energy, and dimir murktide both dont run the card. Grief really is at an all time low in modern
Can we just put a stipulation that Modern cards need to go through Standard??

Mono black necro has a terrible matchup against nadu. Its roughly 40% win rate
Modern has too many problems for one banlist to fix.
To win, Nadu. To have fun and play a deck that fits my play-style, then it's Affinity. However, Affinity is practically dead for competitive play in this current meta. So for those going up against Nadu, good luck.
In Wrocław (Poland) RCQ took place last Saturday and Sunday.
I didn't check the results from Sunday, but on Saturday the top 8 were:
1xNadu, 2xFrogtide, 1x colorful Eldrazi (not sure how many colors) and 4x controls.
One of the best players (top 8 on the Legacy European tour last year), he didn't even make the top 8 at this RCQ, even though played Nadu.

I genuinely want to have a real conversation with you on the health of the formats. I think most content creators are way off base on this ban announcement.
I love to win but I don’t want an asterisk next to my name by playing with a broken card.

I wonder how people would react to them reintroducing restricted cards and limiting cards people are sick of to 1 copy - could hit Bowmasters, One Ring (very flavor), Nadu, Sheoldred, Grief, and whatever else - would force people to use more tutors and make them less efficient plays and make some space in the meta without outright banning the top cards
I played nadu at my last big tournament in town and honestly I know it's the best but I also now know that I hate playing it and that makes my win rate go down a lot. I'll stick to thopter sword for now to see how it goes
My man has deep hatred for Grief
I play mill confidently enough to say nadu isn’t an issue. With other decks focusing on the bird, they have less tech for mill at least where I’m at. I don’t have money to dump into it, even if I did I’d still stay with mill.
They better not ban The One Ring at least. Because I got 2 copies and doing fine.
Reminder that Magic will continue to exist even if WotC stops existing. You can just make your own cards.

Easy answer I will always play og jund. It may not be the best by a mile these days but consistency and pure fun the deck provides will always outclass this mess of the modern game.

If you think a board wipe on a 3 power doublestriker that can be cast reliably for FREE is healthy and/or fine for the format, we need to ban more cards
Fury ruining all x/1s and x/2s forever in the format made me leave for legacy. Then fury got banned and I have no interest in returning.
Just dont play any format that theyre ruining to sell packs. Premodern is cool.
