OMG Harriet. I love your resets. They are always nice to see and feel like I also get a bit of a reset. I life is of course very different than yours, but your final reflexion struck with me. I work at the Pan and Parapan American Games, which are being hosted in my city this year. It's my first job ever and I've been working for seven moths. It ends at the end of november. This has been literally my dream job. It's something I've always wanted to do, to participate in. I volunteered for it as well. It's been hard to handle all the tasks I've gotten, specially being the end of the year and the end of the job. I've also gotten myself into other proyects and such.
I've reflected a few times on how lucky I am to have a job fresh out of uni, and for it to be in my area. And for it to be in something I like so much. It has opened my eyes and my mind and I've felt so fullfilled doing it. I'm in love woth my job and it's bitter sweet knowing its comming to and end.
You said that people have to work to survive, to pay bills and such, but to be doing something you enjoy so much feels extremely good. It's different to see it comming from someone my age and not from the perspective of years or the general idea of doing something you enjoy... It makes me feel warm in my heart and like I'm in the right place.

But also I just wanted to say real quick, what you said at the end of the video about you not seeing youtube as a job but as a passion and not taking it for granted: while i do think it's true that it's easy to fall into a mindset of not seeing how blessed we are in our lives, it's also true that that's something we are all guilty of. It's human nature to minimize the good things. And you are always intentional about thanking your viewers and genuinely caring about them and connecting with them. I don't think you have ever come across as taking this for granted, it's just not who you are as a person. But you also work freaking hard, not just for yourself but for your clients, so it's normal that sometimes you could get tired or feel maybe more like it's work than what you're passionate about.
Sorry i feel like im ranting at you and maybe taking what you said out of proportion, i just think you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Have some grace, do what you love and what makes you happy, surround yourself with people that care about you and encourage you, in person and online
This makes me wanna cry thank you!!! I am definitely very hard on myself bc I just have so many good things and I feel guilty for complaining. But everybody has their own problems and I need to remember that just bc I’m “lucky” it doesn’t mean I can’t also complain sometimes hahaha

So happy that you are able to recognise what you are doing wrong and being able to stop, think again and do better. My goal for next week is not to work more, but to work better. This was so great! Truly motivated me to refocus my attentions for the end of the year.
One book that completely changed my life around productivity and organization was Getting Things Done by David Allen. Reading the book in itself helped bring up my motivation but the way he structured his main ideas I found really clicked with me and has really helped me tackle my todo list in a different way.
