Another option if your amp isn't on the list (I use a Peavey JSX that doesn't have that input available on the amp featured here) is to get yourself a "MINI AMP GIZMO" and a custom cable from RJM electronics. Ron from RJM is awesome. (I think I paid $75 or so for cable and another $125 for the mini amp gizmo). I love the growling preamp tones of my amp so I use the preamps built in but always wanted to be able to color my tones using effects. This set up allows me to change my amp amp channels using snapshots with zero latency. So I can go from a shimmery clean to an overdriven lead channel with all the delays and reverbs from the HELIX immediately and seamlessly. Great video series on the Helix btw Scott. Always concise, detailed and to the point.
How are you?Do you know where can I plug the cable in my Bugera for this funcion please?Mine have effects loop, low gain and hight gain entrance….the Footswitch entrance is midi and I didn’t find for Bulgera….thank you!👍🙏
I'm trying to get this to work with my HX-FX and a Roland JC22, to switch the chorus on and off. In fact it does work, but when the chorus is on, the screen on the HXFX actually indicates it is off and vica versa... Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks
I’m not sure what you mean exactly, but if you have a 1/4” input somewhere on your amp that is used to change the channel on your amp, this should work for you 👍
Hi Scott, I’m not wanting to change the Chanel with a command, but to do it within a patch. For example a song starts clean and goes dirty, therefore I need to put something in the snapshot “intro clean” and change the channel in the snapshot “dirty”. Do you know how to do this? Thanks man and you are the best in YT
Oooh, interesting. I sold all my amps because I only go direct now so I can’t test it… But I would imagine you would be able to do it. It might take some time to figure out, but there should be a way to do it. Sorry, I’m not sure though
Can the amp channel be changed as part of changing a preset? i.e. I start on a clean preset and then click a preset that adds a phaser pedal and sends a channel switch signal to the amp?
Yup, you can assign multiple controls to a single button for sure. If you need more help with that, watch my full video on the Command Center here: ruclips.net/video/sgZeMznMBFA/видео.html
Can you layer effect over the snapshot? So one button push can be a solo snapshot with delay and reverb? Then another snap shot would be Clean with phaser or etc? Thanks!!

Oh nice! I haven’t heard of that. That’s pretty cool 🤘
Ive learned so much with your helix videos, just upgraded from a stomp to a helix floor, also you should do audio books with that voice lol
Hahaha thank you! Glad you found the videos helpful 🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic I think you need a merch site with T Shirts saying " Does that makes sense?" hahah
😂😂😂 totally!!! 😂😂😂
It works with the HX effects too.
Ah good to know! I guess I forgot about that one haha
Concise video! Thank you- you made that easy.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks!
Thank you!
can process same thing (amp channel changing) in HX Stomp?
No, it cannot

I haven’t used one of those so I’m not sure. Best of luck!
@@ScottUhlMusic no problem!Thanks anyway!👍🙏
Can this be set up with snapshots? If so how?
Hmmmm I’m not sure tbh

Mess with the message or the polarity and that should work is my best guess!
I just have a foot switch jack on my Friedman JJ Jr. will it work with that safely?

Yup!
This has officially changed the game. Thank you!
Any idea why this would cause a HUGE buzz when using it?
No, it shouldn’t. Grounding issue? Try hitting the ground lift on the helix. Or plugging into a different outlet
Are you able to do this with the line 6 pod go?
I’m not sure since I do not have one. But my guess is no.
No it doesn’t work on the pod go
My amp channel switches using an XLR cable. Would a 1/4 to XLR cable work with this?
I believe so, but I’m not positive. That’s odd, I’ve never seen a guitar amp that has an xlr input for it. What amp is it?
@@ScottUhlMusic it’s a Carol Ann OD-2
I don’t have that out on my Helix LT.
I don’t think it works in the LT is my understanding
It works with my helix LT
In the LT, it’s a shared ext amp and exp 2 out
you have to go to global settings and send the jack to Ext Amp instead of Expression pedal since it’s shared
how do you name it?
This video shows you how to name footswitches ruclips.net/video/ZuN82R3cgho/видео.html
