Oro's "What should I do next?" is actually a bad translation of the Japanese dialogue, probably due to the quote being translated completely outside of context. What Oro says in Japanese is basically: "I wonder what'll appear." Meaning, of course, he wonders what objects will appear for his V-trigger.
Brian up against the same people in a tournament: 😴 Brian up against a new challenger who's an actual threat: 😡 His energy during that Chun-Li was off the charts
I think the only reason why new challengers that are a threat are scary is because he hasn't fought against them for a while, not like the others which I think he has fought many times.
Shout outs to the chat explaining to Josquin111 that the diamond Karin was, in fact, an amateur prodigy. Made me laugh. Oh and uh, shout outs to Brian too, for punching those streets or whatever while I was reading chat.
God I love the editing on these every time. Not only are the music choices amazing but the way the editor does the audio syncs with gameplay is amazing
Been sticking around to point out the good "syncs" for a couple years now. Brian is entertaining enough, have caught a stream or two and I enjoy him, but coming to RUclips and catching a good combo synced up to the beat kept me coming back long after I stopped playing SFV~
I think boxing characters in Street Fighter are some of my favorites. In a game where there’s magic and fireballs, you’ve got people that are really good at punching. “Street fighting,” even.
I'm sad to see NLBC online go. I got to join like the last three or four of them thanks to a change in my work schedule. I skipped the last one, thinking I'd have more to come. Honestly I'm a little lost on where to go find other weeklies, especially with none in-person nearby. Anyone reading this that might know where to look, could I get a pointer? Thanks so much in advance.
I’m guessing Discord would have some info. I remember PS4/Capcom would run weekly online events, but that was like 4 or 5 years ago. Not sure if those still happen.
As a Chun main, I feel like Balrog can shut down Chun’s ground game so easily, especially since he can get around fireballs so easily and has that crazy corner carry…guess I need more practice.
Bad player reaction to losing: OMG, lag, cheap moves, OP characters. Good player reaction to losing: What did I do wrong? What could I have done to win?
Totally! Likewise, winning and saying 'he messed something up there' or 'he had some solid drops, looks like he could have beaten me in 3 of those rounds'. Respecting the game around the game is a good sign of both experience, and the right attitude.

@@krenkrombo9616 I was sure the original comment I was replying to referred to him 'being ahead', 'winning', or words to that effect. Can't see it now though, so maybe I was mistaken.
Correct; smash gg has an option to predict brackets using seeding. Matches that have actually been played will show a winner in green, instead of yellow.
Great to see Brian finally learn how to counter pick after 6 years of playing the game.

Cool fun-fact
That’s actually cool as hell
I actually thought he said "Watch what I do next!" I like it better that way haha. Has a real shit eating energy too it

brian's thumbnails never fail to make me smile
Reminds me of Animorphs.
RIP NLBC online. I hope when it's safe Mr. Brine F can go there in person after all he has done for the event.
animorphs thumbnail is actually sick
The pocket Rog is looking good, Brian! I'm sure no one was expecting you to pull out such an unexpected pick
I had to come back to say this is the best thumbnail in the fgc

Well, boxing is *so* far removed from a proper street fight, it's hard to get behind that sentiment!

The editing making the music align with the moment at 13:25 work so well is impressive
The way the music lowers as Gill says "Burn you down". Fantastic!
NoNeed's pickup on the vtrigger to close out that last round at 13:40 was absolutely godlike, damn
Sf5 has been looking mad fun lately. I think it's time for me to give it a try
