@@bmill229 It’s more about the reaction like hearing people talking about the gameplay when it’s so clear what it is in my head. I also worked QA a bit on the game before the alpha so I guess it doesn’t help.

It feels and look kinda the old Quidditch world cup on PS2 which was actually kinda fun!
I was going to say that. I have that game, It was so fun and the fact you play pretty much the whole team was a cool concept.
Facts
In the old game when you win the Hogwarts Cup you also gain tickets for the World Cup. I wonder how it will work in the new game. I hope ‘career mode’ means you can play for a pro team before the World Cup
I just had the realization that the fact this game is called Quidditch Champions, and not World Championship, means likely no. All we saw were Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. I was actually planning on buying this as I loved the 2003 version, but that version had like 12 international teams, AND the 4 Houses, along with each teams country having unique stadiums. So lame, what a downgrade
@@dandeleon2764 I think there will be more teams. If not from release, they will add more teams eventually. 4 hogwarts houses, a durmstrang team and a beauxbatons team is not enough to make a single player career. It must have at least some national teams and stadiums

Here's my problem with the style - it's like they went with the generic Fortnight /Disney game cartoon style and it in no way feels like the HP world besides it being a quidditch game. This doesn't draw me in, it doesn't actually feel like the Harry Potter universe ...
2:34 circle one is the direction you fly, circle two is where you throw. It turned yellow upon touching the Goalpost...
Hopefully if they corrected Harry's eyes they can connect Ravenclaw's crest to an eagle!

it's in @Quidditch through the ages@ that there is a barrier, the movies actually got that wrong. the players cannot leave the pitch area but can go as high as they wish
It makes sense though given its a video game. If they allow you outside the boundaries, its more to work in.
I really hope we get to have the special shots and team specials like from Quidditch World Cup.
good analysis otherwise, but ok yea no, so the "blue diamond" has to do with the rings and with the keeper (I've played 2 playtests). the keeper has the ability to send out those rings and the diamond indicates the direction the rings would be moving in. the rings give your broom a boost of speed, they basically made it so the keeper can help from all the way in the back.
Rocket League on brooms.
Perhaps I may actually perform a successful aerial now.

Graphics look like mobile game quality but the gameplay looks like it could be fun.
people really dont like this art style, but to be honest, after game after game with realistic style, im really happy to see this art style, i love this, i just don't care mor for realist games, but this cartoon are real on point for me

It honours and maintains the same art style as the previous quidditch game and the harry potter games of that time which were technically all the same series. It's exactly this kind of integrity people have been begging for from game developers and the minute you get it there is complaining.

Good. As long as mtx doesn't affect gameplay and is just cosmetics there's nothing wrong with it.
@@viserus_ I still remember Activision forcing microtransactions into Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled when they EXPLICITLY said they wouldn't do that. I don't mind MTXs as long as they're cosmetic only, but they can't expect to straight-up lie to the playerbase and have them be happy about it.

Since they didn’t include Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy, it would’ve been cool if you could play as your Hogwarts Legacy character in this games(though, I guess you could just create the same character again🤷♂️). But with the art style being so different, I guess it’s not surprising that the two games aren’t actually connected.
This game had potential but with the recent closure of Harry Potter Magic Awakened, any multiplayer game from WB will be an instant pass for me, I recommend all players pass on this game.
If they can close servers down with a snap of their fingers without even giving players the option to transfer our data to the servers remaining open, what’s stopping them from doing the same thing with this game. WB does not care about their customers. They have 2 months to change our minds but the bar is low
Truly hope we get customisation options for matches because Quidditch as written in the books is simply not as much a balanced sport as it is a character building feature for Harry and the scene setting for the Triwizard Tournament/Graveyard scene.
Pro-tip: do not buy on PC unless you want games to end instantly due to cheaters using scripts to insta catch snitches. It’ll take less than a day.

I haven’t followed this game at all so I don’t know if this is confirmed or denied already but I get the feeling that the Firebolt and/or Nimbus 2000 and/or Nimbus 2001 is/are gonna be pre-order bonuses/exclusives.
To me, it looks like the ring and blue diamond you reference may be the direction the brooms pointed at and the one that moves is your throwing aim or look.
Playtested! Great game. Can shed some light on things. Can't fly out of the area. Can drift. You will have to pick roles at beginning of games. each role has a skill and gear to use during the game. Will have skins and effects for scoring. Flying and movement is rough. At times seem like nothing is happening. Scoring seemed to be to easy. Pass and shoot.
I don't think the banners have to do with the ministry, just showing what team is on what side. Probably different style based on stadium/ country

Time limit is likely for the snitch, they changed that from world cup

i dont mind the art style, going to my previous comment on your other video it's kind of in keeping with the HP1/2/3 ps2 games style but slightly more cartoony or stylised. I'd be happy enough with remakes in this style where the main cast dont look like the movie actors but stand on their own a bit more. Looks cool, defo interested in it an i know my wife will be too.

Isn't this basically the same artstyle as Hogwarts Mystery? Honestly, I'd be completely down for this becoming the artstyle for Potterverse games moving forward. Not everything needs to be live action.

Will it be like fifa, you control every player on the team.. or will it be you only controller 1 , the seeker , keeper or what ever.. also is it just you & the rest Ai vs some one else & the rest Ai or is it 7 online players vs 7 online players?
I played the play tests back in 2023, You only get to control 1 player on the team, which you can choose right before the match starts, and there is different modes, and no its not you and ai, its you and other people vs other people.

In single player you control the whole team one player at a time and you can switch as you go. You must manually switch ROLES however. If you are chaser and want to switch to goalie real quick you have to do so with a dpad input rather than pust passing to them and letting the game take control like fifa.
In multiplayer there are 3 players controlling the 6 team mates, 2 each. You pick your two favourite roles kind of like LoL and can tag between the two not unlike single player.
This appears to be a real class based sports game, it want's you to enjoy role mechanics and gameplay expression separately from each other.

"No micro-transactions" This isnt true, it says right on their Steam page there WILL BE "in app purchases" which is Steam term for MTX.
As of RIGHT NOW, there are no plans for MTX. Per WB FAQ page. Once the hype dies off, they’ll most likely make the game free and switch to MTX to pay for currency of some kind.

@@Adilboy12 You can download it and play it while you have PS+ subscription. Once the subscription expires the game is locked. If you re-sub to PS+ you can play the games again

It's not because you can't switch positions in game at will. You play the game as one position. I think you switch in the pause menu.

game looks good. Wait for more gameplay to help my decision to buy it or not. I mean, i like it, but i dont know how much is in there. 3vs3 coop or pvp, ya, fine... Whats the balancing in matchmaking? Single campaign, ok, but how long. Are there only 5 cups? How expensive are the cosmetics or the grind for gold for it... Ya, this game costs only 30 or 40bucks, but everybody wanted this in hogwarts legacy, so, are the 30/40 bucks worth it if there are only 5 or 6 cups and the rest is only a long grind with thousands of matches in campaign or pvp... How long we will find players for pvp. We know some games that have fast not enough players to fill lobbys...
