In my opinion it would be better if the damn hm70 chipset did not boot at all. Thus me and a lot of people wouldn't have even tried to replace the cpu with something better. What a waste of time. Yes, if you have an older laptop (with cpu upgrade still capable for everyday use), you don’t need to spend extra money to buy a new pc when you can still use your laptop.
Oh well, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The feature that enables this stupid asshole counter is called Intel ME or intel management engine. It's basically a whole subsystem which runs Minix (which was made proprietary by intel) on your chipset. This system has its own network stack !! It can READ AND WRITE DATA to your disk, and is basically a huge hardware based backdoor for the Feds to take advantage of and spy on you. You can try to disable this by flashing a custom version of coreboot modified with ME cleaner to your bios chip which requires extensive hardware hacking competence. It is generally designed in a manner such that the actual user of the device can't circumvent it or, god forbid, disable it.
If you put the laptop to sleep, the 30 min timer resets to 0. In linux you can use the rtcwake command to perform automatic sleep/wake cycles every 28 minutes (I don't know if there is a similar program in windows). It is the only workaround for this behavior.
I have the same problem but with a TOSHIBA with HM70 chipset and put a processor that I bought on eBay core i5 2450m Can I upgrade the chipset with the reballing procedure to HM76?

The best processor you can use with the HM70 chipset is the Pentium 2030M. All i3, i5 and i7 processors will show this behaviour (if they work at all). I wasn't able to find a solution to this problem so I suspect that this is some sort of a check at the hardware level. So you can only solve the problem by using a motherboard with a different chipset (HM75 for example).
The best processor for this HM70 is Intel Pentium 2030 M, in Poland is hard to get this. I would upgrade my old laptop which are used for net, at least i can plug new ssd :)
Są dwa rodzaje procesora 2020m SR01U i SR184, wiesz może jakie są różnice? bo nie są zamienne ze sobą. 2030 jest niedostępny. Mam samsunga który chodzi od 2012r, teraz chce go używać do diagnostyki samochodowej. Bateria 2x większa, dysk ssd, ram 8gb, tylko procek został ;p
@@SopelJLB Nie mam bladego pojęcia, nawet nie wiedziałem, że są dwa rodzaje. Jak ja szukałem to 2030M - SR0ZZ, dla 2020M nie szukałem nazwy. Ale jak masz SSD, oraz wsadziles ram dobijając do 8gb to spokojnie ci wystarczy, bo procek ci nie wiele zmieni. Moja dziewczyna ma 2x2.2Ghz a na 2030M by miała 2x2.5Ghz. Dla jednych jest to różnica ale tutaj nie wiem czy bym się w to pchał. Jeśli potrzebujesz lepszego lapka to kupić cos co obsługuje już i3/i5/i7 i wtedy możesz mieć pole do popisu.
@@TheKamilPL Dzięki za odpowiedź. Dzisiaj wymieniłem pastę na procku i wyczyściłem chłodzenie bo wcześniej podczas przeglądania stron miał ponad 85*C a teraz przy 100% nie przekracza 70. Przyśpieszył i nie zacina ;) także faktycznie sobie chyba odpuszczę, chociaż zawsze byłoby te 300mhz więcej i proces technologiczny 32->22mm.
@@SopelJLB Gdyby były te procki szeroko dostepne to może i tak. Na Aliexpress za 130zł 2030m a za 50-80zl 2020m. Dodatkowo używane bo ciężko by było teraz spotkac nowe. Czasem można spojrzeć na strony typu olx/allegro lub market place na facebooku - może się trafi. Ja po półroku szukania straciłem nadzieje, ze ktos ma w Polsce te procki. Rzadko były stosowane na Polskim rynku laptopów.

du kannst nach 28 Minuten Standby machen, da gibt es auch Programme für, dann wird der Timer unterbrochen. Ich hatte einen Pentium B980 und mir einen i5 2410m geholt. Ich kann einfach auf Standby machen und den danach weiterbenutzen

The 30 or even 5 minutes limit is hardwired in Intel Firmware Hub bond to Intel ME subsystem.

Me too Asus X501A1 and B830-> Core i3 2350M both Sandy Bridge.
Clean intel ME region and txe from firmware bios chip. Than solved this problem.
