Currently, where I'm living from at least, the MBP 13' M1 with 256GB is cheaper (1029€) than the MBA 13' M1 with 512GB (1059€). Should I get the Air with 512GB or the Pro with 256GB? So, my conclusion is either buy a MacBook pro or another Intel machine. This dude just never talks about the overheating issue that MacBook air m1 has.

I usually run my spark workflows on databricks community version instead of local. Save the built model and download and reuse on local for predictions on huge datasets. @@ProgramistaNaBudowie How well does it run, especially using the Windows VM, but yeah, how does it run when programming and multi-tasking?
@@ItsJustRuru Hey! I am using it for video editing for my RUclips channel and I am very happy working on it. It works faster than my old Mac.
@@ProgramistaNaBudowie Thanks, I’m thinking between the Air with M1 chip vs the MacBook Pro with M1 chip, mainly for programming on Xcode and Android Studio and VSCode, I want to check if the Touchbar works well with those apps to make it easier to do certain things, as the Pro has the touchbar compared to the Air. Also has a little better battery life and 61W USB-c Power Adapter compared to the Air having a 30W.
@@ItsJustRuru I had touchbar and prefer Mac without it. Power adapter is sufficient for charging so I don’t see any pros in that pro has bigger adapter. Both will charge computers. M1 will be enough for programming. You will be able to make money on it, no doubts. Take Air with M1.
Broo.. I was expecting a "Programmer's Review". Not a Content Creator's review,
Real!!!
Currently, where I'm living from at least, the MBP 13' M1 with 256GB is cheaper (1029€) than the MBA 13' M1 with 512GB (1059€). Should I get the Air with 512GB or the Pro with 256GB? Or should I wait till the Apple event, in case they announce a new MacBook?
Is it a good strategy to get the MBA regardless and, in case Apple announces a new MacBook with the M2, ask for a refund to get that one instead? In case a lot of people get it and the MBA becomes expensive again...
I'm waiting for the Apple Event on the 8th of March to see. If they announce an M2 Macbook Air then Imma go for that. If we're lucky. We may even get a mini LED display on it too. So we'll have to see
Lots of software are not supported in M1 Chip…I tried to install Virtual Box and found that m1 chip not allow it. Don’t know why!!!🤷♂️🤷♂️

Hi which laptop you have bought at the end?
hey which one you picked ?
Should i buy it for my college ?? I haven't used neither have any apple products
Man, the 700 euro intel i5 windows laptop has lasted me 5 years of intense use and it may only need replacement as a laptop because of faulty hinges. Otherwise it will act as a "desktop" computer from now on. Definitely future proofing discussions are overrated!!!
Great Video! My QUESTION is if I just bought the 8gb M1 MacBook Air. Can I upgrade my ram to 16gb?
Nope
No... I advise you to return it and get 16gb
Bro it's apple that a no in general
This has helped clear some of my hesitations for buying new m1 macs! Thanks for following up on your reviews after 1 year usage! Mentioning specific progamming apps was really helpful also!
I’m close to buying a new macbook air and during my research, I keep encountering some videos showing problems with xampp. Have you had those issues or are they resolved now?
Awesome video !! i think you need to add latest api emulator because i have m1 macbook air as well and android studio and emulator are working amazingly well
Wait for this♥️✨🌸
I bought a MacBook air m1 at the end of July, with 8GB ram. I've been mainly using it for web development (html/css/php, etc) and browsing (Chrome). It overheats very easily and slows down when it does. I had to restart the laptop multiple times. Never had the same issue when I had an I5 intel laptop with 8GB of RAM. So, my conclusion is either buy a MacBook pro or another Intel machine. This dude just never talks about the overheating issue that MacBook air m1 has.
Yes even I faced overheating issue few days back.. I bought it last month only.. but I think in my case problem was I never used to quit any apps but as soon as I quit all those apps that I don't use generally that issue has gone

if i talk about value then let suppose macbook pro 13 inch with student discount cost aprrox 110000 and with 512gb storage and 16 gb ram it will be around 146000 and the upcoming macbook 16 inch with student discount will be around 180000 with 512 gb and 16 gb and more capable m1x and a bigger screen it seems to be a great value product for me at least (mini led) (more battery )(more ports) whats your take on this
at that price point it's overpriced no matter the features unless you have shit ton of money to waste

I'm in the first year of CS engineering and thinking to buy Macbook Air. Should I go for it? And should I go for 8GB or16GB variant?
16gb variant!

I'm using 8gb currently... It works great but if you have the extra budget I would suggest to go for 16
You need 16GB, 8GB is consumed by some safari tabs opened
Drop water on display,You will observe water creeping in due to retina display and no side wedges

I'm using a i3 laptop and wanted to buy a new laptop. As a Data Science student which laptop should i get
MacBook Air m1 or other Nvidia device?
How would you rate it for running spark code which does a lot of computation in Memory ? or maybe for running a cloudera VM where i need to allocate some resources for running the VM ??
do you recommend upgrading the ram to 16 GB in that case ?
thanks in advance, love from punjab :)
I usually run my spark workflows on databricks community version instead of local. Save the built model and download and reuse on local for predictions on huge datasets.
Also 16GB ram is must but the Air wont give *sustained* performance due to lack of fan.
Buy Sandisk/Samsung external SSD, 256GB internal is enough.
As per ur comment, “upgrading” to 16GB after purchasing is not possible.
Is it worth it in August 2024?
I am also confused....should I buy it or not
