I follow Peter Rogers for months, you don't have to agree with everything he says, there is enough good information and entertainment to be thankful for this. It is a good practice to real life, it is good to engage with people that have different world view
People have written about the accomplishments of well know people for ages. These books can help us learn and gain insights we may not have thought of before. Dr Rogers book about Dr McDougalls message is excellent.
I’m a physical therapist that retired this year. I thought to myself, now I don’t have to study health topics anymore….ha! All of these books sound so good, I have 2 of Dr McDougal’s books and Fiber Fueled by Dr B. I will be looking for the others. Thank you!
Thanks Jeff and Dr. Rogers. There are several of these books I'm going to get. I was glad to see the classics in the fields of psychiatry and drugs. I would definitely add The Pleasure Trap as being an essential health book. When people understand that we've been conducting a giant experiment -- of unlimited sugar, salt, fat and calories -- over the last, say, 100 years (going against tens of thousands of years of human evolution) they understand why it's necessary for our future evolution and survival to stop pounding the dopamine center every meal. The Pleasure Trap (by Alan Goldhamer and Doug Lisle) gets into the psychology of why people eat healthy or lousy. Other books I've found useful: Natural Healing Through Macrobiotics (Michio Kushi), Dissent in Medicine: Nine Doctors Speak Out, edited by Dr. Robert Mendelsohn, and Medical Nemesis (Ivan Illich.)
Dr Rogers, I really enjoy your no nonsense approach to educating us. I beleive you when you say, doctors and hospitals don't care about patients (ultimately it's business). How do you feel about the dental industry? The costs are enormous, and outcomes are poor. Please reply. I would love to hear your thoughts.
I haven't been to a dentist in about 26 years. All of my teeth are in good condition. I don't like the slow drill. I read a bunch of books on dentistry. The key is to avoid sweets and acidic foods. Eg. soda pop is one of the worst foods. Rinse mouth after eating with water. Saliva decreases at night, so must floss and/or use interdental brushes to clean teeth in the evening.
By the way Dr. Mcdougall produced an authoritive refutation of Issacson's disgusting analysis of the death of Steve Jobs. Issacson ridicules the vegan diet with profound ignorance.
The reason I quit shampoo, was to reduce exposure to estrogenic chemicals. It made no difference in my hair to use or not use it. Obviously, I don't have that much hair. It was part of avoiding estrogenic chemicals like dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, deodorant, etc. Family and friends tease me about it, but I'm much more fit, strong, and aging much better than all of them.
I’m suddenly confused? After Years of listening and following low fat Vegan diet.. I’m hearing dissenting opinions by some top doctors like Marty Mackey who writes books on our flawed healthcare system, and other doctors like him- saying Saturated fat is OK- because the cholesterol doesn’t get absorbed. Why am I suddenly hearing this from several physician critics of our medical system?
@@vegsourceThese are from so very vocal John’s Hopkins doctors and others who have written books for years about the huge patient harm caused by medical industry. great talk for TODAY, however, go back to the early 1800's for the foundation that laid the groundwork for this research and it came from the early natural hygiene movement from that era...

I forgot to add "The Pleasure Trap" by Doug Lisle & Alan Goldhamer as a weight loss book. I made a video about it at my YT channel = Peter Rogers MD
Which person over the years that got a Nobel Prize do you think deserved it and which ones did not deserve it?
Valuable information here, if you want to prevent disease or reverse it.
Hey Dr. Peter Rogers -
What soap do you use?
Interesting talk, although I'm not about to ditch my shampoo 😮.

Not from any plant-based doctors I know.

It's a billion dollar business to trick the proles; to keep them sick so they will buy more drugs.

no dr greger, or dr furhman on this list?
They both promote higher fat which Dr. Rogers does not advocate or agree with.😉
Dr. Rogers, can you please talk slower, there's no rush. 😂
