@@brickygraph6313 You're getting confused here. It's not capital-class battlecruiser, but Capital ships. Capital ships are called so because they could turn the tide of the battle. Also because each one are expensive as fk to make.

10 years later and it still has a remarkable like to dislike ratio. This SC Machinima has withstood the test of time for good reason; excellent camera shots, great combat dialogue and just overall feel.
The creators of this better feel damn proud of themselves because I've watched this video every now and then in said span of 10 years. Timeless cinematic.

like, there's a small pause between "are" and "hostile". It sounds like "are" is emphasized

Basically, its a 3-minutes video of Terran's slaughtering both Zerg and Protoss forces.

Because the fuckin' Dictators tried to use the Zerg as bioweapons and the Protoss didn't even ask before turning a damn planet full of humans into molten rock and ashes, leaving the Zerg to evolve and create a super mutant that could destroy the Universe, in the end we got along however, after much sacrifice

Wish one Nuke could do that, would make games so much easier....
Then they would need a counter, such as for the protoss a tactical ion defense grid (anti nukes) and for the zerg a bio-matter infestation pod (for infesting the terran bases but destroying the because of the infestation corroding the units and buildings)

battlecruiser makes jump thru space at warp speed but can only go 2mph in battle with left turn signal blinking..
Paul Hahrrgis aceleration on space is of no consecuence if properly calculated, manouvers in a battle with a gravity and terrain plus enemy and friendly forces requires extra care I guess

I like the part with "Are they friendlies? Please advise, over." You can't always tell with those tricky Protoss. I remember seeing so many pieces of official advertising that kept referring to the "enigmatic" Protoss, as if that was their special power, being mysterious. Like the Sphinx from Mystery Men. They're TERRIBLY mysterious, plus they can, like, cut guns in half with their minds!

Considering they used the Hyperion model, let assume that is a Behemoth-class battlecruiser. It still would of been smaller than a Mother Ship. Even the largest type battlecruiser (Gorgon-class) is only about 600-ish meters, while Mother Ships are literally carrying a small *city* on it, as they was not built for combat prior to the Second Great War.
Simply look up Starcraft size comparison charts on Google and see for yourself.
even that is the Hyperion or Loki is still smaller then a mothership...

Battle cruiser was my favourite unit back when I play StarCraft 1 I feel like the god of destruction when I use it!
Still boggles my mind that the standard battlecruiser is 9k long. i can only imagine the feeling of bing on the brink of losing and that shows ups. this animation gives a taste of that well done. :)

I did not asked to be terran, I can not be proud of some accident.
Terran,Protoss and zerg are the only known races we know (ya ya xelnaga but they are extinct and hybrids are just stupid 1 man army guys and only 4 types of them).
So we can not be sure since we only see the kuprulu sector and a bit beyond it so we are not sure what the other side of the galaxy will say.
xelnaga is more of a uplift then a race.

Also, slightly disappointed that we didn't get to see the Yamato Cannon in this. Using it on the mothership would have been nice.
In real life, many actual fire support whether from artillery or from the Navy, requires actual lazing/spotting from ground troops in order to acquire targets. Its done solely to prevent hitting their own troops in the cross fire as well as to invalidate electronic countermeasures that could throw off radar guidance and such.

This was a great video. Yes the battlecruiser operation dialogue would added some spice to the video, and also an animation of yamato blasting that mothership or even some raven action.
I saw Thors and tanks in action and some unit which probably was a Goliath or a landed viking (albeit without the minigun).
Battlecruisers are excellent aerial support units for helping rule the ground and air but vikings are needed to keep that superiority.

keep in mind, that barrage of firepower is only available in one or two cut-scenes. you can't send one BC in and expect it to stomp like that. and you can't use their nuclear arsenal either...

It is. The one time they're on screen together, there's some perspective wackiness. The mothership is much further from the "camera" than the battlecruiser.

Actually those are the standard lasers its firing, but what you were thinking of were the torpedoes they originally intended as an optional upgrade over the yamato gun, which would've obliterated all the zerg approaching that base, as well as the protoss base in record time, so they dropped it in favor of just the yamato gun upgrade.
Where did the toss come from? Last I heard, the hit on Char was a Terran offensive exclusively.

Well it's more of a 'force supporter' than some supreme-sized ship. It's role of a "mother"ship is that units are concentrated around it or can be summoned to it rather than that entire fleets of forces will fit in it like in sci-fi movies.
BCs need to become part of the meta, seriously.
