IT FITS! Duramax LBZ swapped Cadillac Coupe DeVille PT: 1

Well, its finally happening... the Duramax LBZ and 4 speed 4L80 automatic are getting installed in the Cadillac.
I set out to find answers to the age-old questions of "do you think an engine TWO times the size of the original will fit in this car?" and "I wonder what happens to the chassis of a vehicle with a sudden 700% increase in engine torque?"
So far we are on track to answer at least one of these questions today and its looking good so far. The new engine and transmission fit well. Almost too well.
This car was dealt a loosing hand when it left the factory with the worst engine ever made, the Oldsmobile 350 Diesel. Somehow, by sheer luck it managed to clatter away for 84,000 miles before exploding.
Now with a modern direct injected turbo diesel, this car will be better than ever, which is a low bar to pass considering the original 350 diesel engines were known to fail at the dealer lots before even making it to the customers.
