I envy you guy's out west, all of the open land to ride. we have nothing like that back east. if there is a place you have to pay. when you go the place is packed.
It is getting worse out here as well. Tracks get packed and almost dangerous. Waiting for the Mtns to open up, even then, the trails open you will piss off everyone that isn't a rider. I am in Colorado, quickly becoming the New California. Looking to get out of here as soon as I retire. Just don't know where. I'm originally from Idaho, it's still pretty wide open. FOR NOW
So what do you think between this and the X? I have a 23 X that I'm obsessed with so far. I came from a Honda 450 4 stroke. Only thing I can say is the 450 was like a tractor up hill climbs where the 250 requires a bit more effort
I did love my 250x honestly, but I missed the grunt of the 450. Been quite a few years that I haven't ridden. I'm an oldr guy 59, but you can't go wrong either way. I immediately noticed the 250X IA much more nimble it tight sections over the 450FX. However, I have many maps still to try out. The Yamaha power app, is super cool. I have about 10 maps loaded and have only ridden a few.
I just felt I missed the HP of the 450, my last bike. So I went with a 450FX for both trail and track. Plus, the YZ450FX has the app that in reality you can change it from MX to a torque trail beast. Quite a bike!
@@badkarma8706 ok I got a new yz 250 instead of the X was thinking about the X but the longer ratio gears had me worried it would be too weak , glad I went with the yz it's a beast
just got a 250x, i love it, but in the desert its so light the rocks kick me pretty hard, makes me miss my 450 in those situations
I just bought a 23 yz250x love the thing just wish it had a 6th gear cause I’m looking for it always
Me too even on the 450

Why did you trade the X for ?
