Do yourself a favor: get the same type of hangers! :D Makes everything look sooo much better and everything hangs in the same height etc. Get thin ones, you wont regret it!
Also, dont beat yourself up too much, you got rid of a lot, minimalism is so much more than getting rid of as lot as possible, as long as everything you own makes you happy and you use it by the year, thats the important thing. I used years to downsize and to get to where I am at now, I used to count my clothing and I thought I never decluttered enough.. Today I practice practical minimalism and everything I own makes me happy. Do you. Happy journey

You’re choices of items to get rid of was really good. You should try the same with the clothes you kept. I bet you’d still find some realistic scenarios to be able to minimize just a tiny bit more…
Remember with things like jewellery, chose the “hell, yes” and most valuable. You’ll be dealing with jewellery from now until you’re 80!! Truthfully, it comes into our lives again and again and again.
The clothes, books and art - again, are quality, quality, quality only. Save up to buy just some things once in a while. Then, save for top quality items you are sure will outlast “fashion”. You’ll find that things you love that have quality can be worn again and again (sometimes even past several wears before needing a full laundering - spot clean, and air out quality clothes; then wear again.
    I’m proud of you. 🇨🇦

Something that might help is getting all the same hangers instead of different ones. It makes your closet feel soo organized and clean, etc. Also, you could try to center your closet drawers so they don’t ram into the inside wall and they can open nicely. Just some suggestions that have helped me, but you’re killing!

I have to say, it was so stressful to watch this process! I’m glad you pushed through, but there are so many easier ways to declutter. I really love Dana K White’s “no mess declutter strategy,” and “container concept,” which doesn’t involve emptying your space. For decluttering clothes, I only take out my “no” and “maybe” items, so it’s easy to see right away how well your “yes” items fit in the space, and then you don’t have that second and third step of putting things back. And I’m so glad you took the dresser out of the closet! 😅 Drawers that can’t open create hidden storage and add to your overall clutter level.
But from one Rebecca to another, well done! New subscriber!

I have clear plastic drawers instead of a traditional dresser because they are inexpensive and the force me to fold stuff and put it away neatly because it will show if I don't. I may get a real dresser one day. They cost at least $30£ though and they break easily.

Hey, I like your channel. Keep going!! Small tip I got from another RUclipsr "But first coffee" that maybe helps you. Give your self a limit per clothes category. Like you want to keep 6 sweaters. So 1 sweater goes in, 1 goes out. That way you're not buying a lot off stuff and trow them out, in a few months. And it cost less space, money and time.
I did it some months ago and I am buying less because I have to throw something out and right now I want to keep everything :)
I love to see you next time!!

I've watched maybe 75+ videos on decluttering. One thing I do is write a date the day I clean up and stick it in the closet on the wall. That way the next time you clean out, you will know how long it been. I ALWAYS COUNT how many items I donate and it makes my brain feel like I've really have accomplished a great thing. I do noticed you don't wipe down, vaccum behind things. Do that and you will feel better!

Okay, you need to get rid of a lot more stuff. You just need to do a second and third pass through all your clothes. People think going through and saying "I like this" is a reason to keep it. But nobody needs 14 white tank tops, even if a white tank top is a staple. Especially if someone doesn't have to pay to do laundry, it's very easy to get by having only 7 t-shirts, 5 work shirts, 2 dressy shirts, etc.
