Thank you for your videos. We are learning lots of Hebrew with you. Our question is: when do you use imi vs iti, or imo vs ito etc. ? I have concentrated for years on Biblical Hebrew, whereas my child has concentrated on Modern Hebrew, & I am learning to differentiate when to use certain original terms in modern times, & when not. Your response is much appreciated. Todah Rabbah. Shalom
Shalom! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! In Modern Hebrew, "iti" (with me) and "ito" (with him) are more commonly used in everyday speech. "Imi" and "imo" are more formal and often found in literary or higher-level language. While "iti" and "ito" are standard in casual conversations, "imi" and "imo" add a touch of sophistication. Both forms are correct, but context and formality level usually guide which one to choose.
I am improving rapidly. Thank you
