Dark Souls II takes place in Drangleic, a once prosperous land under the rule of King Vendrick, which has fallen to ruin throughout the ages with the raging war between humans and giants, the sudden disappearance of the King, and the spreading of the Undead Curse. Like many others, the protagonist has come to the crumbling kingdom in search of a cure for their crippling affliction, the Curse of the Undead. Dark Souls First Playthrough.

God job with the duo-fight! By chance you used the right strategy by diminishing both their health before the killing blow, so that they had no opportunity to revive each other.
Dark Souls 2 left me absolutely exhausted, even if I enjoyed it for the most part. Really liked your videos!
There's still something left besides DLC. The bearded guy in wheelchair provides access somewhere.
The Giant memories are such a cool addition to this series, I hope they’d revisit it at some point. Imagine how cool to have it in Elden Ring and you get transported back to a battle in the Shattering.
Congrats on rolling credits on the game. It’s always been the black sheep of the Souls games so I’m glad you enjoyed it as much as you have, and it’s been awesome to be along for the ride.
You're wearing Drummond's armor; it is quite funny if you wear full set and talk to him because you're from the future wearing his armor, although the dialogue doesn't change or anything. But he will give his helmet (regardless of armor you're wearing) after you killed the Giant Lord and speak to him. Furthermore, you're the nameless hero in the history. The Last Giant is Giant Lord, that's why he's pissed off seeing you when you fight him the first time.
This is something they could have worked on better, you know it's in the past due to the context, but apart from Drummond, the other soldiers are already hollow just like in the present
@@IzidioAlex The soldiers supposed to be human but because of coding problem and they don\t bother fixing it they just add one line from Drummond "...by now, my men have not the will to resist." indicating that they're turning hollow.

P.S.: For future reference, the Black Witch's Veil has 1000 Curse Resistance, making you immune to Curse effects as long as you wear it.
There is a hidden boss that you can kill after Nashandra. You can only fight it when you've killed king vendrick in the tomb. you'll have to use a bonfire ascetic to respawn nashandra, so you'll have to fight her again. It also unlocks a second ending which is in my opinion a much better choice than the standard one
You dont need the crowns to fight him.Just Vendrick before Nashy.
You don't need to do the dlc for Aldia...You just have to kill Vendrick first
As said already, the DLC is not necessary for the extra boss/alternate ending (which is my favorite in the series), but you need the dlc crowns if you want to get all dialogue out of Vendrick's memory and the final reward.

100% here for drip-feeding DLC runs into the channel here and there! And ... if those happen to be jolly co-op sessions... ? All the better! They're an absolute blast! I don't know who these people are who haven't enjoyed them. People that just don't love fun, I guess! Weirdos that simply don't understand that true happiness comes from walking noisily (in fashionable full-plate) and carrying a big (sharp, pointy, and hefty) stick!
Cant wait for the Elden Ring DLC! And congrats on completing DS2 - whenever you wish to finish off loose ends will be fine with me. Dark Souls 3 doesn’t seem that far away anymore as well, good times ahead!

I'm very happy i got to know you through your jolly cooperation with amber and i am now catching up with your elden ring playthrough before the dlc and i would definitely watch a new character from the start for the DLC. :) thank you for the literal movies length videos so often and as enjoyable as they always are!
Ending music is so beautiful, love this game. Sucks a lot of people hate/love the game less because they look forward to a next game on their list (understandable tho), it's a game that clicks at a certain time.

Hi Emma, from what I've seen from the ER DLC preview footage, you will need to be at least Level 150 if you don't want to suffer a fate worse than a fate worse than death. time to get farming from that Palace Approach Ledge Road site of grace in Mohgwyn Palace. With the golden scarab talisman and gold pickled fowl foot activated you can grab 50,000 runes in one 60sec run, the bird alone gets you 17000. good luck!
it's been a great series emma, thanks for the fun of it all! for whatever reason, it seems like the places more than anything really stuck with me from this entry even above 1 and 3, so it'll always have a spot in my heart

Whatever the case, DS2 has its own unique charm. There was a time I loathed this game, but upon a second play through I came to appreciate and enjoy it.

Deep down in the Iron Throne DLC there's a cursed ring 1000% so it makes you immune to curse. i think its been so long GG on beating Nashandra
It's not a ring. It's a mask called HollowSkin...and it's not deep down anywhere there. It's there in the Crown of the Old Iron King DLC behind a illusory wall accessed while going up an elevator. Or you could just use the Black Witch Veil that you get from lighting all the sconces in The Gutter and then defeating the npc invader named "Gutter Denizen".
Its been a wonderfull ride! DS2 really is something special
32:37 "Sir, this is a Wendy's!" Lol, I explained this meme to my wife (who is not as terminally online as I am), and now she says it to our 1-year-old son whenever he's misbehaving. Then the other day I made the mistake of teaching her what "touch grass" means and now she says it to me all the time. XD
This has been a lovely journey, honestly. Been enjoying every upload, especially the co-op. Favorite part of mine was the Undead Crypt with the rivalry between Symbalily and Scarlet!! LMAO! And yeah, fun is most important. Entering a battle with a squad of 4 feels epic!

You can always come back for more after and I understand the wanting to get back to Elden to refresh your skills and improve them. Tons of people have made new characters in prep for the dlc.
You could always hop back into the randomizer you started and get back into the swing of things last two weeks.
Whatever you do I’m so excited for the dlc and happy you got to experience dark souls 2. I’m glad I got to see what dark souls 2 was without the hate that comes behind it. It’s so unique in its own way and I love it for all the risks it took. Can’t imagine skipping it because of some people’s ideas on it. It’s special.

Great stuff, Emma! I've really enjoyed your playthrough, especially because of the co-op with Amber. I was already subscribed to you both, so that was super cool. Also, I really think DS2 is made for summoning, friends and npcs, you played it right, imho. And... I wondered when you'd find that shortbow. 😂

I have really enjoyed this playthrough! I especially loved the Co-op! I don't have any friends that play Dark Souls so I have never been able to do a proper Co-op playthrough, but It looks like so much fun!

Perhaps you should try boss weapons and armors next time for the DLCs, just try them out for fun.

If you do the final boss after the collecting the 3 dlc crowns, killing vendrick and using the kings memory to unite the crowns you get a new final final boss straight after nashandra.

Watch vaatis video on the first sin, explained! This games lore is my favorite of all the dark souls games, second only to bloodborne for fromsoft in general. You’ll absolutely love the vid if you watch it!!
The ending is kind of annoying because the player CAN renounce the throne, but when the player is told that its already too late. From memory in SOTFS you have to walk out after speaking to Aldia.

Okay i just started this video. But please. Please do other content besides just ER DLC. I think your content will do just fine. Everyone and their dog plans on doing The DLC I just really hope there's something else to watch in that time period.
You have to understand she wants to do Elden for herself most too. You can tell she loves it by everything she talks about.
Being around to experience the excitement on launch of a fromsoft game is something else.
If all she does is Elden it’s completely fine.
Trying to juggle two games is hard in itself and they both usually suffer because of it.

You really should come back to play the DLC'S! 😠It's the best part of DS2 and it would REALLY suck if you didnt come back and play them. I'm honestly pissed that you're moving on temporarily without playing the DLC's first. The Elden Ring DLC can wait.
