It's a real shame this wasn't a huge Christian radio hit back in the day. I remember reading an interview or a blurb about how this song didn't do while on radio because it was "too depressing". When really it is a call to help out the less fortunate. We are to be His hands and feet

In 1985, this song began my association with Compassion Intl.. Reality, not depressing. I love this song.

Daebu it is, im a true born again christian believer and child of god who loves god and jesus so much their my best friends, and this song is my favorite, i love petra their my favorite christian band, i accepted jesus christ as my lord and savior and accepted his gift of eternal life and his precious blood covers all of my sins, this song is definitly powerful, your right my friend, its extremely scary and creepy at the same time, i fear gods anger at me for being a sinner but ive confessed and repented of my sins because i dont wanna go to the lake of fire, im proud to be a child of god, amen love god and jesus and praise god and jesus, their my best friends, amen god bless you friend:)

The song is a wakeup call to the body of Christ to avail themselves as instruments of compassion in His hands and heart for a dying and hurting world! We, who know the Savior's love, cannot be complacent towards those who are without and are hurting. Jesus laid down His life for us. Are we better than Him?

God is a just and righteous judge. God must be legally and morally right in all that he does. His righteousness and justice will not allow Him to justify a guilty man, therefore the dilemma is how can God justify the guilty and he himself remain just?
Hell is a hot holding place of torment where UNRIGHTEOUS Guity unjustified soul's Go then for eternity for there sins it's called the second death Hell will be thrown into the lake of Fire in the future and the Guity unjustified into the lake of fire also (Second death) for Sin for everlasting destruction scary stuff God is to be FEARED and believed.

According to the Word of God you can not lose salvation so no hell for the Justified. But it's God who justifies the ungodly you can not justify yourself by being Good enough or performance for example and the Word of God confirms your security everlasting life appointed to heaven with God to the saved
Because God cannot Lie Trust him.
What must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (Acts 16:30-31). Religion tells you to do something, God says his Son did it all, believe on him.
