Hey folks, this is my entry for the RUclips knifemakers challenge (Viewer Participation). The Kusarigama is a chain and sickle Japanese weapon. It is not a typical Samurai weapon like the Katana, Wakizashi and Tanto...but more so - a weapon used against the Samurai by Ninja clans and the Okinawan farmers more than 2 centuries ago. The 6-10 foot chain was used to entangle and disarm swords, staffs and other long range weapons. The Sickle (Kama) would then be used to finish the opponent.
Materials Used
Blade - 1075 steel
Handle - Torched Hickory with rawhide wraps and antiqued brass dome pins
Ball and Chain - mild steel
