Excellent, the difficulty stuff has been the thing holding me back. Just bought it!
If you don't make 大悪手's and very few 悪手's, then it'll be easy.
There's a thing or two to mention. The metal exhaustion and the critical stretch of components of the station. While spinning, the station's components that are stretched or stressed with a force powerful enough will continue to deform. At some point, the deformation will be unstoppable, then really irreversible and straightforward critical.
To fix this issue, an entire sector, or it's part needs to be isolated, reinforced, dismantled and built anew. But this only will delay the inevitable, since you can't rebuild all of the station at the same time. So the middle game and the late game even in the default play should be as hard as the beginning.
We hope you enjoy customising IXION your way!
Thank you for putting your heart into this game. Definitely my favorite game of the year so far.
Thank you so much for your kind words ☺
This game is so sublime. Incredible soundtrack. Thanks, Kasedo Games, and congratulations.
Thank you!
I love your Game, its one of the best Indie games. It was perfectly balanced for me, but I hope that more people will play this fantastic game with an easier difficulty.
I hope that the game developers will consider adding an Endless mode or an Endless DLC to the game. It would be great to have a larger space station where the player can keep playing as long as they want, and the station gradually becomes more challenging to keep alive. It would add a new level of excitement and challenge to the game.
You are wonderful, keep up the great work!"
Yessss! I bought this game the day it came out and really wanted to love it, but it was just too damn hard for me. I’m hopping on as we speak! Finally! Thank you Kasedo Games
We hope you're enjoying IXION! :D
@@KasedoGames I’ve been playing nonstop, finally to chapter 3 🥹
@@CLSGL That's awesome ☺
Thank you all very much!
Both for this amazing game and for this great update!
YES! After completing it on normal dif, cant wait to rip my hair off with the new hardcore mode! Thank you very much !!!!
This is what I was waiting for! Going to start my playthrough!
We hope you enjoy IXION! 🚀
Thank you so much for this update!
I like the idea of a custom setting.
While I'd rather have ships with the common sense to not fly directly into space storms and explode to get to resources on the other side, disabling that would at least take one less tedious micromanagement element off the table.
Thankyou. Just what i was waiting for. I bought it.
We hope you enjoy customising IXION!
Lets goooooo!!!!!!!
İt would be cool for an alternative universe DLC where tiqqun reaches proxima rather than get sabotaged by insane man that saw the unforeseen
Cool!!
Thanks thanks thanks!!
Endless mode with a bigger station, prime DLC material there that I would buy for sure
AAAAAnd currently 30% off in the U.S Steam Store until May 15th, 2023. sooooo... guess i'm getting it finally!
Welcome on board the Tiqqun, Administrator!
Oh boy. I was just going to play the max difficulty but, with that custom menu full of sliders, I'm thinking I might have a whole progression of playthroughs before I actually beat max difficulty.
*Masochism activated*
We hope you enjoy custom mode! Definitely share how you've customised the sliders in our Discord so other Administrators can try it the same way :)
Might go back and give the game another chance. Got it on release day and put 7 hours into it. Restarted it a 2nd time once everyone died, then gave up after the same thing happened again. I would have refunded the game after that, but couldn't due to the 7 hours played. I'm hoping this fixes the frustrating issues I was having. It's not that the game was too hard or I don't like difficult games, it was just chaos and nothing I could do would restore order, and some cases had no idea what I was supposed to do, or the game mechanic was just broken. I love playing games like Frost Punk on its most difficult setting, Disco Elysium, and other similar games. Hopefully I can stop feeling like I flushed $40.00 down the tube. Thank You Devs for not abandoning it and trying to improve the player's experience.
We're happy you've decided to give IXION another go! Please feel free to leave feedback in our Discord, we have a feedback forum in there. :)
When DLC?
Some combat would be mindboggling cool.
Fantastic game and even more fantastic audio and music
Still no move building button lol. Why they can't transfer resources directly to new place without moving it to storage?
Ah yes, replayability ++
Just finished “Challenge Mode,” apt name.
How much has IXION improved since launch? I remember stop playing because of a bug with food quarters or something like that
Nice. Sandbox mode when?
Accidents being more lethal sounds like it could be a mess. It just caused injuries before right? Or am I remembering the other ones. I wonder how scarce scarce is. Could go through the last 2 chapters without getting any resources before. Not because I didn't have to but because I couldn't hold any more.
Accidents causes injuries but the more overworked your crew was the more lethal the accidents become.
Accidents are the one thing I would turn off, everything else probably maxed out. When I played, even if you have everything perfect (happiness, not understaffed, etc), you'll still occasionally have an accident that will claim a life. This really sucks when you've achieved a stable economy and are fast forwarding time while trying to make slow upgrades to your ship, and collect all the resources in the system.
@@varlunmulland3992 Yeah honestly, I agree with you. I think there shouldn't be a chance for accidents when all conditions are perfect. It leaves little incentive to keep them running smoothly.
Good job, guys. It's really useful update for those who complaining about difficulty.
I'm inlove with this game but .... once I managed to have all 6 sectors up and running smoothly and have pile up of all resources ... I dont konw what to do next ? i wish if i could make multiple tiqqun stations and transfer stuff between and make a specialized tiqqun
I still love the game the hardest thing is that its unforgiving if u dont know somthing it will kill u in less than 100 circles lol
:)
Is there any future plan for a console release…?
For now we are concentrating on our update road map, but this is something we could consider further down the line.
I hope the update fixed the drill-dozer achievement. It wasn't working[on steam]. I've got a screenshot of 5+ on a single resource just to be sure.
love the game got it on sale recently, are yall going to add more maps or a procedural galaxy, something akin to free play probably, the map looks and feels abit small compared to other parts of the universe.
Yeah im just finished Chapter 2 in standard difficulty and the game just raped my ass again with the magnetic storm wandering to the other side. The biggest pain i think is the ressource managment cuz you need 1000 different storages in each sector... oh i need 1 electronic in food sector.,,, guess what... build new storage for this one piece
I tried and went through the whole game as it was as of today, amazing experience, but few things made me quite worried about the overall quality of gameplay.
First things first, trash economics, obviously. The fact that you can have self-sustained station even with net gain of resources with a certain threshold of population is concerning from gameplay perspective. With the genre the devs probably want to follow, I feel like that is the only miscalculation made. Don't get me wrong, the way you can get food with trash is fun, like getting water and fueling your algae farms that way, great.
The second point I wanted to talk about is science. Having infinite resources is one thing, but no real time constriction on the chapters means you can get your whole tech tree in about 10 years or so of just sitting and waiting since the stability loss is just a one-time event with no real consequences on a developed station. Since I got all the necessary research, I had like +6 stability at the bare minimum. From that point onward, when you are content with your research, you breeze through the rest of the game easily, with no real interaction with the majority of what the game offers as mechanics (resource mining, gathering and after some time, depletion of said resource), and that takes away that feel of pressure on survival.
There are a few things I thought of that could make the game more challenging, yet more fun to engage. Changing the recycling factory, to provide all of the resources (steel, polymers and electronics) in one sitting, but in reduced quantity. That way, you get to use them, but they don't drastically change the way you play.
Second thing, I feel like mushroom walls are rather useless the way they are, and could be instead made as an end-point dump of trash in food chain for even more food.
Thirdly, removal of passive gain of science from science lab or somehow halt the infinite loop. My first chapter was great, I had to calculate how long I can last with the local asteroids and what that woud give me in science, that suits the game well.
Also, 100% refund on buildings is indeed good, but moving buildings just one tile is terrible, especially the biggest stockpiles filled to the brim with, say, ice, or hydrogen. An average 80% refund could be implemented with either some research to tackle that, or, in my opinion better way to do it, research a way to move your buildings, like they are on rails. Making it implementable to every sector separately, just like the trains are, would be an interesting way to incentivize players to keep their buildings and not just build them for a couple of cycles and then dismantling again to free space for something different.
Anyway, as I said before, the game is great, the story is indeed a thing to think about. Thanks Kasedo for making the game.
Just because you added difficulty setting doesn’t mean the game is fixed. I find it very telling that content creators are doing any new play throughs post update…
Very, very! Small text in the game. 😞
все так же нерабочий шлак?
Ok, the feature clearly needed from the start. Not great, but okay. Infinite mod when?
LOVE THIS GAME SOOOOOOOOO MUCH !!!!!!
Same! 🥰
