I have been using 70hz in gamemode for 5 months now it works perfectly! Anyone who says this impacts longevity is completely wrong. Sure 70hz will impact battery life off the plug, but it will NOT impact the actual screens longevity. These screens can absolutely handle an extra 10hz it's not the end of the world. Thanks for the vid BTW!

I cant get any light weight games to run at 70 fps. It changes for 1 sec as I change it but returns to 60 fps. Any ideas?

I think much cooler thing here is that you can set any refresh rate right now, not just down to 40.
That being said lighter games like Sonic Superstars are running great with 70hz and a 50mv undervolt. This also feels great for FPS games, mainly ones with dynamic res. This really boosts the steam deck's potential.

No, don't overclock ypur scrneen unless you want to impact its longevity.
    This is dumb and pointless.

That's why I gave the warning in the video that could potentially lower the life span of your screen 👍, however it's for those who want to customize their decks, it maybe pointless to you but some may find it useful

I have been at 70hz for 3 months with no issues. It helps a lot for easy to run games and also for harder to run games like Elden ring to cap at 35fps
