Oh neat, a clip I was there for! Funny thing is, someone said about 10 minutes earlier that there's no way any bear would be out in this. And then there was a bear out in this.
The bear just crossed the 3 sets of RR tracks without a problem, and plus he was looking both ways to see if there are any incoming train approaching before crossing the tracks just like when you're looking both ways before crossing the street if there aren't incoming cars approaching.
funny thing that's a common occurrence out in that part of British Columbia.. you just got to swerve and get out of the way slow down let it cross just like a dog people don't pay no mind to the bears
Ha ha ha! I live here and you are so right. Just a nightly occurence in these parts. I live 2 doors down from the Columbia River and watch them all the time walking down the road. Mostly Black bears. If you don't bother them, they won't bother you with the exception of a mother with cubs.
The bear was tired and on his way home after a long evening tending 'bar' up the hill. In common with a lot of drivers, he was ignoring the stop signals because there was no one else out on the road at that time of night.
More then likely a black bear. Living in Revelstoke that is the majority we see around here. Grizzlies like to stay in the high country. This is not unusual by any means. I see them frequently walking past my house towards the river which is only 2 houses down from me. Just another night in Revelstoke.
To : Virtual Railfan, That's the first time I saw a bear look both ways, and where is he going at this time of the night and where the h#%€ is he going and I didn't know they had bears over there ! My little brother told me he should where a rain coat & I gave him a reply that bears don't wear rain coats? My little brother just ran to the closet and brought me his rain coat, so the bear won't catch a cold and my little brother is 4 years old and will be 5 pretty soon on October 16th of this year and he's a bright kid for his age and he already knows all about the alphabet and he's good at counting money and that's because he's always in my hand bag looking for stuff and why do I have a firework with a string on it, you girls know what I'm talking about and no need to say more? But he still wants to give the bear a rain coat? ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
you need to look at a map and see where Revelstoke British Columbia is.. that's pretty much normal that's hi grizzly bear country all up by the Rocky Mountains
He Even Looked Both Ways 😜
We humans could learn a thing or two from that bear.. :)
😆😆
Smart bear!
But he didn't wait for the light to turn green
When a bear has more common sense than the average american
That bear is smarter than some drivers in Ashland.
Thats true have seen those drivers Lol
MrMark85044 lol
Like the one that happened 6 days ago
Exactly
I miss when there was a lot of cars on the tracks in Ashland
Hey! At least the bear looked both directions at 0:36 before crossing the tracks. Smart bear!
because it was the chickens night off.
Good one Mark ! ha ha
Well played sir
Internet Winner!
... To get to the other side for the pic-a-nic basket. 😂

Like the old song says: "the bear went over the mountain to see what he could see."
was lucky to watch this live
Virtual “Bear”fan
"Just goin' home, folks, nothin' to see here..."
Walking down the middle of the road like he owned the joint! :-) :-)
They did own the joint before humans encroached on their territory, but they gave up their rights when they failed to pay taxes.
They did until humans encroached on their territory but they gave up their rights when they failed to pay taxes.
They need to add a Bear Crossing sign right under the RR Crossing sign
THE BEAR is going home wearing it`s Halloween costume. Somebody please tell the bear today is 13 october, not 31.
I work there(Railway Museum), glad we didn't run into each other! Keep moving Yogi! ;)
He was heading back to his bowl of porridge, which should be much cooler by now.
I thought that was a very good bear, checking as he crossed the tracks.
He is looking for the Cub Car!
Right there at this point we were to train watching a few days ago. Wow
The bear just crossed the 3 sets of RR tracks without a problem, and plus he was looking both ways to see if there are any incoming train approaching before crossing the tracks just like when you're looking both ways before crossing the street if there aren't incoming cars approaching.
I would like to have seen the bear's reaction to the gates activating as it approached.
Who am I to question why the bear crossed the road?
It’s a bear, they can do whatever they want!
It could be love or a late night snack.
Cause there was garbage to be gone through. I would recommend that bear as the mascot for Operation Lifesaver there lol.
perhaps he knew there was Hunny on the other side
2 VR vids in a minute?! Wow!
He did the RR crossing so nice & legal and then ran a red light!
Did you go and speak to him about that.?😊
Smarter than the average bear
Bear with me ,Just nipping into town for some .........Bear Essentials

He must have really wanted that pic-a-nic basket
Welcome to Revelstoke.
I could bear...ly believe it!!! 😆
At least it used the crossing and didn't trespass on the right of way. But then it jaywalked across the intersection.
where did that bear come from? either from the woods or a zoo?
The woods. Revelstoke is surrounded by thick forest.
Is that a Grizzly Bear?
That’s Canada for you.
The Bear was looking for Masha
Looks both ways better than most humans I see.
Cool looking beat I’ll tell you
Check out A Bear in a Garbage Truck Downtown Vancouver BC , in the middle of high rises
The drive thru at Tim Hortons was still open?
I guess he wanted to go to the ice cream shop 🤣🤣
I have never seen a vehicle crossing these tracks but this is the second bear on here.
(Lighthearted tuba music plays in the distance)
Does anyone know when the holiday train coming through revelstoke this December 2021
Because the rain was unbearable.
Maybe the bear is a railfan. I love bears
Oh my god! There's a bear on my railroad tracks!
nice video!!!!!!!!!!!
Somebody must have been baking chocolate chip cookies in one of those houses across the street.
Great shot of a Hobear.
He saw a big blue house across the street.
Seeking shelter in the forest from the grizzly weather.
Holy bear! Was that a grizzly?
Looks like it. Thats the second seen a bear crossing the tracks in front this cam. The first one was a black bear last year same location and same cam

Thats is the second time it has happen. It was last year and I was watching.
He couldn't sleep. So he went for a walk.
Woah
Apenas um urso...!!
Because it's the Canada. Same thing in the Province of Quebec, we see this regularly.
The reason the bear crossed the tracks was to get to the other side
Why did bear cross the tracks? Three possibilities come to mind: food, a mate, or new territory.
It was nice to see a bear walking on the road safely long the road..
Er hat wohl lange weile
He crossed the tracks to show the armadillo that it could be done.
To get to the honey of course :)
*hunee
Well the good thing is that he looked left, right, left before crossing the tracks.
Geez! Note to Self: Do not move to Revelstoke, BC.
Hardly out of the norm
for Revelstoke, B.C. Canada.
Probably, the bear is somehow used to trains. Looks like a grizzly.
He was trying to get to the chicken.
"Bjorn" to be wild.
🇮🇳🙂🙂Awesome 🐻🐻🐻🐻
That's funny right there I don't care who you are....
Im glad the bear made it :o
he crossed against the red light 😬
Took a short cut because it was raining, that way he barely got wet.🇬🇧
To prove to the armadillo that it could be done? (Substitute chicken and road.)
My friend Kelly is a bear keeper. I’ll ask her.
The bear has a bigger brain than everybody in Ashland
Because he can. What you gonna try and stop him?
Grizz! Where are your friends, Panda and Ice Bear? (We Bare Bears reference.)
going dumpster diving!
The bear missed the train.
The bear missed the train.
The bear missed the train,
And now he's walkin'.
Because he COULD!
Oh boy! lol 🐻
pretty sure that bear is out to rummage through some garbage cans.
to get to her honey
To get to the other side.
Dam
Why did the bear cross the RR tracks? To get to the other side!
I preserve my right to keep and arm bears.....
Chicago Bear is tired of lost for Packers and goes to Canada.
