I know right? I was very lucky to stumble across that fish. Wasn't even looking for a Betta at the time but couldn't leave him behind once I spotted him.
Thanks man. Yeah I was pretty lucky to find that Betta. Honestly I'd say either. Only real difference if you're only going for one is the male gets quite a lot bigger. My male is nearly the size of my hand, the female two thirds of that but they both have pretty much the same temperament and the nice colours.
Dear Daniel: What type of leaves are in the tank with “Mr. Love Heart?” Are those Catappa leaves? Do they benefit your betta? I’ve tried Bradford pear and basil leaves, in my shrimp colonies. A friend has offered to give me some Indian almond leaves. I threw mine out, years ago, when I thought they contained toxins. It turned out they weren’t the issue, so I wish I hadn’t discarded them. Now that all my shrimp tanks are planted, I don’t believe they need additional leaves to munch. But, adding Indian almond leaves, to my betta’s tank may help her, as her tank is not planted. When I purchase fish from a pet store, I find it preferable to quarantine new fish before adding them, to my stock. When I get them from reputable breeders, I often forgo this. Did you do so with your Boraras brigittae? Thank you for sharing this, charming video. All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
Yeah always better to quarantine if you're not sure mate. They're called SunGrow Mini Capatpa leaves. I got them off of Amazon mate. Same thing essentially just a different size and shape for a bit of variety.
Thank you. Yeah I was pretty lucky to find him. Wasn't even looking for a Betta at the time but soon as I laid eyes on him I wasn't walking away without him.
Albert is Brilliant!!
I know right? She did great.

@@DanielKeepingFish I try to avoid the betta section for this very reason. So many unplanned purchases over the years.
