Yeah but it's been really nice honestly. That hitch is too heavy for one guy and I don't have much help around here to lift it in and out all the time. :)
Hello, if you’re able, could you please share the baseplate dimensions? Base size & hole spread if possible. I can’t find anything online. I want to prep the truck with plating before purchasing. Thanks
Yeah I have but for now, if I need to take up the extra length I just double the chain back on itself and that seems to work pretty good. I may take it off someday though.
@@tealakota "seems to work pretty good" Well, if that chain is 12" long, it means you must raise the load 12 inches more than were that chain replaced with the hook.

Might it have gone smoother if you'd removed your tailgate first?
Have you thought of taking the chain out that's between the end of the winch cable and the hook? It looks like that would make the lift much easier.

Yep still working fine. I use it to lift my fifth wheel hitch in and out
