  • Vaginismus Treatment & Cure | Molly came to us as a 23 y/o single woman who wanted to find a cure for her vaginismus. She came to the Women's Therapy Center to achieve a better life, and she hopes that her story will reach other young women so they don't have to feel victimized by this condition or the medical community.
    Vaginismus is a condition where the vagina tightens up or spasms when something tries to enter it, like a tampon, penis, or even fingers.
    It can be caused by fear of penetration from past sexual trauma but in most cases, it's hard to pinpoint the exact cause.
    "I tried everything--physical therapy, nerve blocks with lidocaine injections, dilators--but nothing worked until I found this really great treatment protocol that cured me within two weeks!"
    Through our personalized vaginismus treatment, she was able to overcome vaginismus and regain her life.

I don't feel like many ob gyn are understanding or compassionate about this and in the past were very forceful when conducting pelvic exams which have caused me so much fear & anxiety to this day. I'm so grateful for this video. Thankyou so much, I broke down in tears because I can really relate.
    I am a 24 yr old and have been married for 4 years. I was a virgin before I married, so I had no clue I had this condition until my wedding night. I still have this condition, and have finally started psycho-sexual therapy. I have been given dilators and feel a panic every time I even look at the box. I am looking into botox treatment but wish me luck on attempting to use dilators. Whoever is reading this and is going through this emotional & physical turmoil, Please know your not alone. Stay strong ladies, We can do this!
    I just wanted to add... After 6 months of using dilators (beginning with the smallest which took the longest because overcoming the fear of entering anything for the first time was very daunting) I managed to overcome the condition and had sex for the first time! It wasnt always simple... what works for some, may not work for others. I used PLENTY of lubricant (got through 6 big bottles) each time I would use the dilator and in the beginning I found that distracting myself by watching a tv show whilst doing the exercise really helped. I was taught to wean myself off this slowly and concentrate on my breathing and going very slowly. I also took my time with progressing to each size, which ultimately helped me get over the fear. I'm so glad I stuck through the dilators because i think most the fear was in my head. It wasnt as bad as I thought. Once you get through the smallest dilator, you realise that it is painless and easy.
    If I can do it, anyone can do it!

      I guess there is a lot of misunderstanding going on over this topic. I got such a reaction from my GP (a doctor, yes!). I went to see her for something else and decided to bring up this thing on how I was unable to have sex. She just looked at my file and said: "But you're already 23, no wonder you're being nervous by now." I said I didn't think that was the problem but she just insisted: "23 is late, most people have already done it by your age." Yeah, so would I if I had been able to. She made me feel like such a freak. Anyway, soon after that I got ditched by a guy over this and I decided that something needed to be done. I made an appointment with a sexologist and had some sessions with her, which worked amazingly well and fast. Soon after that I met another guy and we were able to have sex. Our relationship didn't last very long, but I was over it by then.

    Blessings on you Molly for your story and willingness to help others! And blessings on WTC for providing this informative and encouraging channel on youtube! Straight men will never understand, and so many men are still so immature in their comprehension of the act of sex and its many dimensions. I also wish to encourage you and all women to seek ways to improve your self-image and sense of self-worth. I cannot pretend to understand, but I can provide my partner with a protective space to build love and trust, and after 10 years she now wants to see a doctor and consider hope for her future. Visualize success, and create some visual aids to remind you of your vision of success, they really will help! :) Don't date men who are driven by their testosterone to say or do whatever will help them achieve their own selfish outcomes they only re-introduce painful traumatic experiences; be very selective in dating, even after the healing is complete. I was like that for many years, and I am very sorry for the pain I caused others through my selfish, childish motives. I am amazed and undeserving of the relationship I now have. Visualize success, and create those visual aids!

    The same thing happened to me. I had read about vaginismus before the gynecological exam and when I first went she couldn't examen me because it was too painful. I had mentioned it briefly but she brushed it off and I had a hymenectomy. During the post-op exam I thought it would have been all better like Molly had thought. After it was awfly painful she said to just relax and asked if I wanted condoms. I had already told her I was lesbian and besides the fact she did not know about idk... how women can still retract STIs from lesbian sex. But thats besides the point, she told me to "just relax" and when I told her to take her finger out she didn't until I started crying repeating "stop, stop! Take it out!" I feel like crap because "it's all in my head." It's comforting to know that there are people who understand.

    now i’m gonna order a dilator set and start pelvix floor therapy. but, idk, for the past few years i thought that i couldn’t insert anything ever, and now i can manage an entire finger?! in conclusion: i’m hopeful and i strongly advise everyone to go and see a doctor. (:

      selam gebretsadic hey Selam, reaching out to your local doctor is a really great start!! However, be confident in your own feelings and body, and don’t let them invalidate anything you’re feeling (they might try to say that it’s something that it’s not). Do you have any other close family members or friends to turn to? xx if not, there’s so many RUclips videos out there that cover this sort of stuff. And honestly, you are a very strong and brave girl, so I have no doubt that in time you’ll be able to find the treatment you need to be cured :)) good luck!

    Once you cure it is penetration simply not painful and its like you're "enduring" it? Or does it become pleasurable? I'm confused on how I can go from the most extreme pain in my life to pleasure. Because I've still never had an orgasm and am hoping that once I can have penwtration that THAT'S what gets me off.

    • @Womentc
      @Womentc  2 года назад +2

      Once cured, all penetrations are pain-free. Also, most women do not get sexually aroused/climax with during sexual intercourse unless they are stimulated clitorally at the same time. Check more videos about that on our sister channel IntimateLens (ruclips.net/channel/UCX0RwSXjOxzq1XhJ3MSUWPw)

I stoped having sex and me and my husband had to find other ways to be close. We got our children through IVF because even trying to get a suringe with sperm in was too painfull... i am happy that the knowledge has increased. However i feel it is too late for me. I will never ever enjoy sex.
