Hi @JawlessPaul - as someone who has put over 100 hours into this game and 100%'d it, it's cool to see you discovering the broken shuriken build. However, it pains me to no end that you haven't yet figured out how vital the Shuriken Engineer skill is to this build. Tacking on a 30% change of triggering your tool bonuses - which DOES require you to get an elemental skill onto your tool - is the ultimate/final step to completing this broken build. The fact that you can further upgrade (aka "Pom" in Hades terms) the Shuriken Engineer skill from 30% > 60% > 100% trigger means that you can potentially have every single one of your dozens of shurikens trigger bonus damage anytime it comes into contact with an enemy. Imagine tacking on a bonus 30-60 damage for EACH shuriken. Trust me, no amount of damage buff can top that. Also, the principle of the shuriken build is to basically dash around the field and let the shurikens do the work - so picking a skill like Shuriken Attacks is a wasted pick, when you could otherwise have picked something to buff your shuriken attack damage or giving yourself a bonus dash. Finally, there's no wrong turtle to pick - but if you're targeting a shuriken build, wouldn't it makes sense to pick Leo as his default skill involves shurikens??
Thanks for providing your feedback. I definitely don't have that many hours in the game. I would love to try out what you are talking about. It isn't exactly clear how the shuriken engineer skill works, but it sounds like it's pretty amazing with the right tool. I'll give it a shot!
@@JawlessPaul it's not about the specific tool that you have, but about the skills/buffs that you've acquired which are proc'd specifically for your tool. Aim for the elemental ones that have a % chance to add a fixed damage when using your tool - those are the ones that your shurikens will be triggered by Shuriken Engineer.
As someone who started playing this game about 6 hours ago, the ahuriken build wasn't some secret. I was actually disappointed that what I've already been running is the meta. Also, no Leo wouldn't be best just because he has a shuriken attack, Raphael's critical buffs mixed with the shuriken are far more powerful
Wow I didn't expect to find content about this game , this was such a cool idea but I would like to share my strategy I think its a lil easier to get and more damage delt . Basically you pick raph with the water thing artifact , you will farm until you get the power with water damage to both hit and special making special your priority to upgrade cus its so good , after that you upgrade the water damage throw stortm power and will deal insane good damage with the special. I don't think I wrote that well but hope u will understand it
I think he's talking about the 'Heavy Rain' perk Goes great with 'Torrential Strike' and the perk that adds water damage to mulitistrikes For both Raph and Mikey, with their high attack speed. Add in some flame perks to maximize damage via crits and water/flame is super OP
Shuriken builds are definitely OP. They're also easy to achieve thanks to multiple options for Shuriken upgrades and two different Tools that enhance all those Shurikens. However, there's one build that basically _guarantees_ a win, even when you go through every Portal of Power: The Drain-Tank Mikey Build. The goal is to get the Legendary power for Water/Astral Light combo (which heals you for 2HP with every hit of your attack) and the Hard Shell tool, then max out your HP/Astral Light/Water/Multi-Hit/Attack Area as much as possible. Once you have the Legendary, it's basically game over since you can usually just stand in one spot mashing attack and barely dropping below max HP. The necessary powers are Light Attacks, Light Embrace, Water Attacks (or Dash), and Splash Damage. After you have these four, the Legendary has a chance to appear when you get an Astral Light or Water power, so save your rerolls for once you have all four prerequisites.
I just got this game for my six year old and I am surprised at how difficult it is. Are there any ways to heal more often than once every merchant via pizza? If we could just heal we could beat it. The ooze seems to be a pretty strong build so far. Haven’t played a lot though.
Most broken build is full ooze you don't even have to hit the enemy just dash through them constantly and you will deal 78 damage every second. Just upgrade dodges to as high as you can. Plus you don't get hit often cause all you do is dodge.
Yeah, I have tried a full ooze dash build and it was pretty good, but nothing compares to those shuriken flying around. You don't even need to be CLOSE to enemies to kill them
This is a roguelike/roguelite, which means that every "run" ends when you either die or get killed. You progress in strength buy leveling up in the dojo and getting better at playing the game. I personally really like the genre!
I finished the story and had fun playing this by looks of things it's possible that it could had more content cause it sets up for it it's comeing to steam later this year so I wonder if they will do an update for it for more content or even dlc
That would be cool! It'd also be cool if they updated the graphics so they were more clear. Playing on the small switch screen was fine, but when it's on a monitor or television it looks pretty bleh
One critique as a viewer: I really appreciated you cutting out parts of the gameplay in this video that wasn't relevant so we can see your skill build progression. But I can't figure out why you decided to leave in the entire Leatherhead fight which was well over two and a half minutes. Was it left in to deliberately show the early struggles of this build? Honestly it was painful to watch you struggle through it and luckily I was doing laundry when watching your video, else I felt quite turned off by that long boss fight segment and nearly stopped watching the video through to the end.
Thanks for the feedback! I usually include boss fights in these types of videos, but I think you are correct that I could have at least shortened that fight.
@ddr2nite Your comments are the most cringe thing I have read in a comment section ever. Please make your own videos, I would love to be incredibly critical over nothing on them.

Lol do you have a job

How do I get legendary powers? I’ve yet to find one
Thank you I tried this and finally beat Shredder 😂❤

Finished the video or finished the game? The game has a TON of content/build variety
I discovered this on my own recently and came on RUclips to see what else people were doing. Turns out I was onto something 😅
Haha it's pretty busted for sure. Especially with how many shuriken you can get from your dash alone

Nah, most broken is a Mikey Bright Spring Legendary build. Nothing compares
Is there a save option in this game so you don't have to start at the beginning every time?

@JawlessPaul hopefully they do that and improve on a few things to as no doubt since it comes to switch the game got more bigger and popular so yes
How many times much you beat the game for full ending?
@MJthegoat2345 I cant remember exactly but I think it's 8
How do I get astral hearts?!
Yep
:)
Fire builds seem to do better damage
Probably not when you factor the number of shurikens you can get

How is everyone playing this? Steam says it doesn’t come out till fourth-quarter
it's out on Switch
@@joaofelix4940 Ahh ok thanks, plus that explains the poor frames
Switch! But it'll be on steam soon I hope!
Nov 6th for Steam
