The dinosaur that the Red Horn line are based on is the Styracosaurus.

I bought this guy and made a custom HMM Heavy Arms Red Horn. It's just a Red Horn equipped with the Beam Gatling Set. Also, my first panel lined kit.

You guys are obviously younger than me as my knowledge of the Zoids predates the anime stuff and comes from the comics in the 80’s!, the story in those comics I always found to be more interesting than the anime (which is still good but nothing like the original) I liked the Redhorn character in the comics, still have all my figures from back in the day and I’ve got videos of them on my channel if you want to check them out cause I have some I reckon you might not have seen…

Cool model, I have the dark horn and I am thinking on ordering the red horn if Kotobukiya release it again, thanks for sharing the lore.

One thing about the anime. It is a very loosely based story from the original Battle Story for the model kits. The Battle Story is very much like a truer war commentary where many units are used in battle....like hundreds. It also has a lot of death and destruction that reflects true war. Even the manga pales to the Battle Story. Find a translated copy if you can.

Hello! I just recently found your channel, and I have felt like I have been transported 15 years into the past! Its been so long since I've thought about this awsome franchise!
Sadly, none of the model kits I used to own ever survived the test of time and natural distaster like I have.
Do you have any recommendations for someone that has prior experience with assembling the larger motorized kits?
I'd rather have something that can be posed in more dynamic ways instead of the limited motor function kits I ised to own.
Thanks for the nostalgia trip, and for reminding me of one of my favorite hobbies as a kid!

Absolutely! so the Kotobukiya HMM kits are much more complicated than the old motorized kits and have a ton of good posablity. I would highly recommend checking out sites like Amami, Hobby Link Japan or sites like USAGundamStore and picking up one of the smaller HMMs like the Cannon Tortoise, Command Wolf or the new Rev Raptor to see how you like it and then upgrade to one of the larger ones like the Shield Liger DCS-J or Liger Zero Empire.

@@obellist Thanks for the advice, dude! An HMM Command Wolf sounds like it'd be a perfect way to start again, seeing as the old Hasbo wind-up was the first kit I ever got as a kid!
Thanks again, bro! Keep up the great work!

I thought that in the battle story like the saber tiger has the shield liger as a rival, i thought that the red horn has the dbison as its rival.
