Amongst the hundreds of thumbnails I passed by today, saw this and thought "maybe this is cool..." and I tapped not realizing I was gonna actually be fighting tears by the end. 41 year old male, been playing since day 1 of Destiny 1 & 2, countless hours laughing and connecting with random gamers all over the world. I'm just fascinated now with how this video pulled at my heart strings so hard, it shows me that this game definitely means more to me than I realized. Thanks for putting in the long hours to edit something like this together. It's so thoughtfully crafted. How can I not subscribe to your channel after that lol. Cheers Vanguard 🍻

I may have joined a bit late(2 weeks ago) but this game has already had a profound impact on my life. I really enjoy playing, so much so that after I said I would not pay money on this I bought The Final Shape, Lightfall (yes I know it’s bad but I want strand), and Forsaken (for ace of spades). I wish I could play more but I have to wait until my Forsaken refund goes through.
To all other lightbearers and guardians out there: If they want war, give them war.

Still would be a plot twist that our guardian is one of the original three astronauts the traveler first meets and why it chose us.
I never thought about that, but now I want that so bad that'd be so cool

I’ve only recently started my journey as a guardian but I remember in 2014 some kids talking about destiny. I watched the cinema-tics and I said to myself “one day I’m going to be a guardian” now here I am preparing my warlock, titan, and hunter for my final journey.
I have met many wonderful people and have learned so much and seeing that soon it’s going to be over brings me to tears

This definitely hit me with some serious nostalga. I remember way back when sitting at my grandparents place, booting up D1 for the first time full of childhood excitement. Now a decade later, I'm still here to see that story come to a close.

I wasnt there in the beginning of d1 or d2 but ive been playing long enough to understand where the journey started to where it is now im glad to have joined all of you in this wild ride of a game lets make sure the history books remember us

Hype you got me crying here over a video game. All the challenges we faced with the characters, all bosses we beat with our friends, and all the times we got angry someone was killed off (also pvp but shhh)

Everyone's wishing us luck on our journey the heart of the Traveler and our soon to be triumph against the Witness. We've slain powerful beings in the past and not one of em had ever the chance to bring forth the end of everything. The Witness may be a powerful being that could wipe us out with a flick of a wrist, but from I what learned... Its that just because something is powerful doesn't mean it invincible even if it wields the paracausal forces of Light and Dark.
We will end this nightmare and bring ruin to the Witness and the Final Shape.
All will be well, no matter what happens.
Invested 7 years into this game and honestly if they make the final shape hit, it'll be the best bet I ever lost

Great video! Man this is better sweet for me! I started my destiny journey in vanilla destiny 1 with me & my son who was 5yrs old at the time. I made plenty of friends & built a big clan. However in destiny 2 all my clanmates including my son have long stopped playing D2.
But man I don't regret anything about my destiny journey. Had a lot of great times. I have been more of a casual d2 player now for about 4yrs so I take several mths off then come back. I might still make a few d2 vids here & there after the final shape but I don't think I will ever go back to just playing D2 as my main game!💯

You know what’s funny. I just heard a theory that we see through time as well which makes sense since we can predict. The nutty thing is that they said motzart was predicting his own music or using the mind as a “potential engine” using the details to operate and predict. This probably sounds kinda goofy but back in the day i made EGS Samurai, back when i loved d1 and it stands for elite god slayer… i had no idea my rank would be stuck on elite and godslayer title is dropped. I haven’t gotten the title yet but what if we can’t really see because we search but when we listen, our lives might unfold how they are meant to be. Like finding yourself through the differences of life. Kind of a cool and nutty thought. Like people search in life but don’t receive answers until they yield or give in to the universe and follow a different path, or in other words they stop fighting the current and flow with the river because we are one and the same.
