This akin to e ink technology so probably no colors for now. But 10 bucks says, in the future, there's gonna be active camouflage using cameras to make the car practically invisible in real time. I mean the 360 cameras are already there lol

I have seen something similar to this paint changing technology from an American custom car builder. I do believe it was done a bit differently than how BMW applied it. All of this is so very cool!
The American company's car displayed all the colors of the rainbow, not just white and grey. Now THAT'S cool.
The process I was referring to was with the electrical charge. As for the colors I do think you're correct in they are more of a variable rather than two color.

BMW has unveiled a chameleon car that changes colour, in the latest attempt by automotive firms to combine their vehicles with cutting-edge technology.
The way BMW explains it, E Ink's electrophoretic wrap contains millions of microcapsules about the thickness of a human hair. Each microcapsule contains negatively charged white and positively charged black pigments.

Damn exciting the colour changing concept of using electrodes is truly genius and creative. I was barely able to calmly sit without having butterflies in my stomach due to this tech. Car cinema was not so impressive, normal level.

Love the channel always interesting content but the BMW color changing is very cool concept but you are some downsides first if you get an accident and be almost impossible to repair that properly second if you’re on the road color changing it’s gonna distract other drivers you’re probably gonna get hit by somebody because Because you’re intently looking at your paint job not focusing on the road
True, those are the biggest hurdles that they need to sort out before it actually becomes available. Seems promising though!
