I have no words to describe, but stunning, in this moment nothing really matters, in the good way.

Benjamin Zander is a loving and dynamically spiritual man of faith who brings zest , passion, and beauty to others through the music he thoroughly prepares for the audience like a great musical chef.

Outstanding recording! I'm listening to this as I work and am moved by the composition and the playing. This is music that will stand the test of time. Kudos to Maestro Zander and the Boston Phil!

21:59 and 22:06 as an oboist I know how frustrating it is when the reed fails or is not good enough.

A fine performance. But in his interpretation sessions, Zander always insists that romantic music is “in one” and “uses flowing gestures when he “conducts” the young musicians. But he never conducts his orchestras like that-always beating every beat. I feel that conveys a certain nervous tension the music doesn’t always call for.

I really can't see all the things he lectures his students about. Here he looks like an old fashioned conductor with his head down and his eyes on the score 90 percent of the time. Even in the very first meausure and in the grand finale he's looking down at the score
