I am a 39 year old women. I have been stung many times in my life by different bees. 2 days ago i was stung by a yellow jacket and within 30 mins i was in anaphylaxis. Initially it was just local pain to the area. Then extreme itchiness everywhere, next was profusely sweating, then my lips went numb and that’s when i new something was wrong. Ambulance showed up within 30 mins of the sting and i was completely swollen in my face, hands and feet. Couldn’t breathe well. It was not good and scared the crap out of me. Im going to get my epi pen today because i just feel so uneasy now without having one handy.

I got stung 2 days ago n though I've been treated, I'm still itching and the spot still stings....I hate these allergies..... it's crazy that I ve been stung by bees and wasp plenty of times in my childhood, and now that I'm 29, I'm super allergic. Last year, I had a bad allergic reaction, too. I broke out in hives from head to toe. My face literally didn't look like my face.

Man same story and same age. I got stung today and had a serious reaction but got the doctor on time and symptoms reversed in few hours. Now scared if it happens again 😢

One year ago I got stung by 2 wasps, one after the other (face and shoulder) Which was of course very painful, but after 10 minutes it subsided and there were no further reactions. Five days ago I got stung by one wasp on the shin, but this time about half an hour later I started to develop a rash in my groin and under my arms, and then quite rapidly from head to toe about 10 minutes after that. My lips started to tighten up and felt tingly, so I drove myself to ED where they just gave me an antihistamine and monitored me for about an hour. I did not have any difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, horse voice, or low blood pressure. So I guess my reaction was cutaneous only, but I don’t really know. Five days later it feels like I still have a little bit of residual itchiness going on, but there are no visible signs of hives; Hopefully this goes away. It’s annoying to have any reaction at all, but I guess I’m very fortunate that it was only hives and a bit of swelling of the lip, I’m now wondering what are the chances that this can worsen with every new sting to a point where I can be full anaphylaxis?
