- "Dance Yourself Dizzy" (Liquid Gold, Adrian Baker, 1979). Violin cover.
The amazing Novilė Maceinaitė on violin. Recorded in 2014, in The Hague, Netherlands. If you wish to play this violin part yourself (or read along while listening): pdf with the sheet music available (with my interpretation/transcription of the part...I haven't found the original score yet despite reaching out to Adrian Baker Productions).
Disco-ver! ;) Видеоклипы
Love it. Disco would have been nothing without the violin's contribution ... or wait a minute it would be funk !
Lol true
I’m trying to get some juicy violin parts into my house music 😂
@@Bittamin your right, add classical elements to funk and you get disco
She knows what she does.❤🎉 greetings from Discorama
Music.
Damn babe, your'e amazing! I never seen a violinist plays disco, that's great. :D
Top musician. I love Disco-Strings and she plays perfect for this kind of genre.
If there was aa "wow" button on RUclips (and I'm a violin player)
Bleddy brilliant x
Very well done! (Difficult to play!)
Well that brightened up my day , thank you :)
What a great exercise .... Disco never dies. Hope you're still playing ...?!
Not me, but sure, Novilė is still playing!
@@TomvanMessel That you in the mirror?
@@dinadangdong Yes
Never seen fingers move so fast. Absolutely brilliant. I think the record is on a keyboard, so respect to you lady.👏👏👏
You mean that you think the strings on the record are played on a keyboard?
I heard a lot of disco multitracks from staying alive to le freak.. the strings from that era came from actual violins and cellos.
@@RideOnTimePH indeed!
Love it 🤩🥳
Novilė, you are WONDERFUL! BRAVO!!!
As a wind player, I always joke that disco string players earned a M.M. just to play some version of "4 e and a HOOOOOOOOOOOLD!"But in all seriousness, this was a fantabulous performance!!!
WOW! Amazing!
wow awesome I wish I could do that.......
I love it. I live for Disco strings.
Amazing I love it , would pay to see a concert like this
I would organise it! :)
Awesome!
0:09 WOW. Love it!
Fantastic playing.... Great to hear the string part in isolation 🤩
That really is brilliant! Well done!
+jiggarypokery Thanks a lot!

Bravo and thank you for this violin cover !!!
love disco !
Thank you for your lovely comment!
I'm so sad that there isn't a full version 😢
How good are you?!?!? A great string part and very well played.
She is a very skilled violin player! It took very little practicing time before we made this recording.
I have wached this many times! Love it! I grew up with disco. Can we put in requests?
0:13 Yomanda - Synth and Strings
Which microphone have recorded it ?
It was an AT4050 condenser mic in its omni-mode, at around 2 meters distance probably.
Where is the sheet music available? Nice playing btw
Does googling 'dance yourself dizzy violin pdf' take you to the pdf? Otherwise I can send you the sheet music pdf through email.
Excellent! (Can I book you as studio musician?! :) )
I'm a huge disco nerd and...
Aww damn. I think I discovered a new fetish! :0
Here's a video from 1980 of Liquid Gold's "Dance Yourself Dizzy" that has several awesome shots of the orchestra playing for those that want to check it out : ruclips.net/video/Xi7M9C7kxrY/видео.html
This link does not seem to work anymore, but I found another video of a live performance including violin players: ruclips.net/video/k0lO17mjygg/видео.html
@@TomvanMessel awesome, thanks! 😁
Someone please educate me. What is that part or movement in strings called starting at 0:09-0:14 ? That long succession or series of notes moving and soaring across, what is it called? Thank you.
They're commonly known as "runs." The arranger usually jams a bunch of 16th, 32nd and groups of 16th note triplets and quintuplets to make this effect.
@@flintwestwood3596 Thank you. I will experiment with these during my programming.
@@MC_Elie Great!
Does this sound only come from a solo violin? 😮
Well, the original track is also playing. But indeed, it is a single violin recording on top of that.
there's any way that I can get that solo track violin please?
I love disco
I will check for you whether I have the original recording somewhere; I'll come back to you.
Tom van Messel Thank you so much for your reply I do really love the way that she play the violin we disco style good runs nice and smooth glissando
I’m a music producer and I’m working to re-create some disco music tracks so that’s why and try to get as much as possible string solos i
Y si Wellington Contac ni en Private I will send you my private email once again thank you so much
@@omarleon4881 I looked everywhere where the recording could have been, but I cannot find it anymore; I usually delete recordings after I finish a video. I'm sorry to disappoint you. I do have the sheets though, which makes it easier to record a solo track once more.
Maybe you're interested: I just found the original video footage. On that video you can hear the solo track, recorded with the camera. So it's not recorded with the mic that I used for the track of the RUclips video above here. I'm not sure if it's really of any use: you can also hear a little bleed from her earphones.
Make midi files of those strings and sell them
Just to get an impression: what would you use that midi for if you'd had it?
I am a church musician, so I'll use them for making cool himns and gospel songs.
I would love to hear you play along with Barry Whites "Love's Theme". The violins & cellos are absolutely gorgeous in that song!
If you like disco strings, you should check out this video from 1974 of Love's Theme being performed live by Barry Whites orchestra, with some great shots of the string players - ruclips.net/video/BPe7HJ9KML8/видео.html
From where I can get this music sheet
If I would write down the link here, my comment would probably not be shown by RUclips, so my advice would be to google words like dance yourself dizzy violin parts pdf messel
@@TomvanMessel ❤️ thank you
@@rosyviolinist3150 Have you found it? Otherwise I can email it to you?
@@TomvanMessel No i haven't ..can I give my mail id here
@@rosyviolinist3150 you'll find my email address in the 'about' section, if you click on 'view email address' :))
I COULD USE YOU IF YOU CAN DO SOLO without music
Awesome!
Thanks!
