- This is the 3rd year of the LEGO Technic Monster Jam sets, in 2023 we get the 42149 Dragon and the 42150 Monster Mutt Dalmatian sets. In this video you can see the building details, interesting pieces, and we also test the tractor tires on the trucks!

It's more entertaining watching you smile at the robot doing goofy things than the actual review
I like last year's more. I still wish they bumped the price up like $5 and gave us better sized wheels, yes it will hurt the performance of the pull back due to weight, but it would look and play so much better. With that said though, I am ALL here for Lego to continue to at least give us smaller technic sets at or near pre-inflation pricing.
Grave Digger and Monster Mutt are my two favorite Monster Trucks, I'm glad he's in the new wave.
I would hope they would make some ramps for those sets made from Technic next year. Perhaps going with one of the sets being slightly bigger and having more parts for this ramp would allow better B/Alt models?
Ramps were definitely cool for the pullback sets, would be great to see them again
you can buy the cardboard ramp that came with the 2 Technic stunt sets from 2017, just the ramp is like 65 cents (0.65$) on Bricklink
From the perspective of young girls as a starter to Lego, the doggie does have its place, rather than the dragon. =D
Trend seems like lego is going towards building smaller sets instead of big sets
This is the 3rd year when we get very similar Technic Monster Jam trucks in January, these shouldn't be that surprising :)
@@RacingBrick not my favourites but they have to enlarge their audience for kids to earn more money.... most big technic sets like the 1:8 scale supercars are targeted and bought by adults... I miss those construction vehicles with the of motors like the 42009 crane set
@@ryanwizard23 LEGO sets were and are primarily made for kids, including Technic. Sets in the first half year are traditionally the smaller ones, bigger sets are usually released in August.
I love the way you incorporated the robot into the review of an otherwise more or less repeating the same thing every year with the monster jam sets!
Btw of course I want the robot review. More content more better :D
Very cool sets. Big fan. I'd like to see Donkey Kong and Big Foot. Might be harder to get Big Foot since it's not a Monster Jam truck.

Great and funny video ! I love the K1, which I never saw before. This is the best "set" in your review ! Unfortunately the K1 is expensive.
There are three I would love to see and that is crustation, Bigfoot and my personal favourite boneshaker and Cool robot

Found these and the Bugatti bolide at Target today. Santa came early! Really psyched about seeing the 7M flip flop beams in Lego!

I love the Monster Jam Technic sets, I have all 4 of them already, cannot wait for these 2 new ones :) (and swap the tires for a better one). The real Monster Jam show is a real thing here in Montréal, Canada too (just like in the US), it happens every year in April/May :). LEGO should do the Mohawk Warrior monster truck and the Kraken one next.

If I am not mistaken the green modified lift-arm was reintroduced for the 42078(Mack anthem)
i was in between to buy those two and collect them as i got 4 of the monster jam series or pickup bugati bolide one, but i think i'll pick bolide later

I wish they would go back and do trucks that maybe aren't around. I know they want to stay current, and tie into what kids see today. It would be cool. A Batman truck is an easy choice and easy to pull off.
I would like to see the Monster Jam Alien Invasion truck in LEGO Technic form. That one is my favorite.

Got some pull backs in 2020 when I got back into lego and havent bothered since. I am all for functions in technic sets and these sets are an easy pass

Why not a Lego higher education truck
The stickers color is very strange its like LEGO dont know what RAL they use for parts? Maybe as LAN member you could ask them why they cant catch the color accuracy for stickers?
I can try to reach out but as it is not related to a set or a theme it might take some time to get answers
@@RacingBrick I think it would be good to know why they struggle to solve such easy thing maybe they need to hear this out to start thinking something is wrong ;)
@@lukasrsdesign I'm sure they heard this already a couple of times, and I assume if they could solve it easily then it would have happened already. It would be good to know the exact challenge though, why is it that difficult to print matching stickers.
@@RacingBrick the parts color are well know so matching colors in graphics software shouldnt be an issue for such company , especially they dont do prints so at least they could give as proper stickers ;)

Cool review as always. The robot was a bit silly and too much though. I can understand it was mainly for advertising your second chanel.
Regarding the Dalmatian, I guess the black is because of their black eye sockets in RL.
The tractor tires do look better for a monster truck but are still the wrong ones. Way too narrow.
Also I am sure LEGO tested every scenario on different carpets too. I can see why the tractor tires would have more rolling resistance compared to the lower profile balloon ones which also have a continuous line in the middle, kinda like bicycle tires for reducing friction.
Why isnt the bugatti in buggatti blue!?Yellow is DISCUSTING!!!!!Exept on VW beetles.

You have really intelligent and well produced videos but they start off super-hokey you say "what's up guys" ... at the start. of. every. video. Tons of youtubers do the same thing. It's like a nervous tick, and it's sooooo annoying. I'm hoping that making you aware helps you out with your presentation skills a bit.
It's an interesting feedback, thanks for that. As you mentioned this is a common greeting in RUclips videos and I just simple got used to say it. As a non-native English speaker it is a bit difficult to find a greeting that works in general, that might be the reason why I simply choose something that seems to be frequently used. Will look into this and might come up with something new for next year :)
