The BMW S 1000 RR especially with the m sport package with the winglets and stuff is meant to be a race bike that happens to be road legal, so most people who buy the bike instantly remove the wing mirrors to clear up the body lines which is why I assume they are missing in this model
Its m1000 rr no s1000rr
sorry m8 your wrong the m1000rr is first and for most a road bike (it has heated grips and cruise control as standard) the HP4 race is there race bike that you can buy no hate just an FYI
@@Dogsoldier88 still the place for the M version is the racetrack! I am driving the S and this one is also preferred on the track ;)
What's body lines
all "RR" bikes, which of course means Really Racey (no it doesn't 😁 it supposedly stands for race replica), are supposed to be "track-first" bikes. Of course you can ride them to go to work 10mi away or something, but it's borderline sacrilegious to the bike itself.
The attention to detail in this set is absolutely spot-on, including the front fender assembly on this set compared to the Ducati!
I'm so pumped. Just picked it up yesterday. Starting tonight. Love this bike and set!
are you high?
This set is right up my alley. I recently built a motorcycle MOC, and it helped me to realize that I really enjoy both challenging builds and motorcycles with the standard gearbox/fake-piston engine. This set has both, and the gearbox is a straight improvement with the increased size! $230 is quite steep, but for a set with the quality of a supercar for about 1500 pieces fewer, it is still quite tempting.
I think the gearbox for this particular bike is correct. Race ready bikes, all MotoGP, WSB's etc for track work in reverse to road bikes. So you push down to change up and push up to change down. This makes sense when you think about the G Forces acting on the rider accelerating and braking like they do. Really good review.
lol he just flipped it backwards because he was powering it from the output. If he powered it directly from the engine it would’ve gone in the opposite order. Low engine speed to a fast output means it’s in a high gear. So technically the pistons move the slowest in 3rd
As a die-hard Technic motorcycle collector, owner of almost every Technic motorcycle set LEGO has ever released, including the 1924 unicorn, I waited impatiently for the year 2022 models. But in my wildest dreams I certainly didn't imagine that LEGO would release a Bikedzilla :O HOLY CRAP I NEED A BIGGER SHELF!
youre in luck, I believe a new cycle is coming in march!
@@sidewinded1 i know, the Bat cycle! Not as big as the BMW but still a pretty large set with about 650 pcs. Cannot wait!
This is so cool! The details put into this set is very impressive. Well done!👍
Awesome review, as always. Your vids keep on getting better.
Love this build, esp the new parts
Definitely looking forward to other 1/5 scale technic models! :D This is pretty despite its flaws and I'd love to get one of my own!
Wow, thats HUGE! Also, the golden track links are a new color, they were previously only made in black and reddish brown.
W
I didn’t realise how massive that set is. As you say, it’s a shame they don’t explain how things like the gearbox work. Many of my recent technic builds had things in them I’d have loved to understand more / like that insanely complex one in the Land Rover!
I am more a car guy than a bike guy, but this thing looks amazing. I really enjoyed building the DUcati, and this BMW seems like a blast. I would like Lego decided to replicate a Boxer BMW bike. As always, magnific video!
There was a Technic boxer BMW a couple years ago: the 42063 from 2017!
Hi Balázs, thank you for the very informative video again. I love that there is always comparison in your videos with the latest models.
Now this is a set I'd definitely want to get my hands on,visually it looks absolutely beautiful and I'm definitely a Superbike lover
That is a great looking set as far as pieces go. As far as functionality, it has pretty much all the functions of a real motorcycle, it's not really lacking anything
Awesome video. Not just a speedbuild, but detailed explanations of some details and hiccups of the building experience. well done.
The best part of this set are the shocks, I immediately bought a set of them for use on a trophy truck moc, they look so good!
Occasional Technic builder, Speed Champions collector... this feels like a Must-Have to me!!! I'm just so drawn to it!!
Thank you for the videos you make came across you not to long ago. I’ve been going through a lot of depression and these Lego videos make me happy
I must say I like your video/review a lot! It’s not “in your face” over the top with graphics and animation but very substantial and helpful for someone thinking of getting this set.
Looks great. Although this ‘display’ approach seems at odds with the ‘technics’ part. I’d be curious to see something like this as a creator expert too
Great video! I may just have to get this! I'm very happy your channel has grown this much!
It's huge! I like it. For sure one to add to the Technic collection. Great review!
Man I have been waiting for this one.
Really cool, big moto! I like the new parts, specifically the new, long fork, bigger tires/rims, disks/rotors, and the new coil shock (looks pretty realistic too). Great video as usual!
From what i have seen from a landrover defender perspective. This spring looks similar to defender v1 axle springs. What you think.
Maybe used for 4x4s or suv mocs aswell 🤔
I just got this set yesterday. I have to say that it is the best Lego set I've ever owned. Between me and my two children, we have roughly 70 sets. It is very challenging to put together. You really have to pay attention when building it or you can get lost and mess up. I love the details and accuracy compared to the real motorcycle. It is impressive just sitting on the stand. My only problem with it is you can't see the gears working.
For sure going to be buying this. Love motorcycles. I hope to see some MOCs turning this into a Yamaha R1M, or at least hope to see LEGO release one in the future.
Very nice with transparent peace for the windows. I really want Lego Technic will concentrate more on the aesthetic like cover parts, windows on car. Now it seems like they start polishing more, great stuff
Great review!!! Thank you so much. That 8466 tire comparision was awesome, bec of that i ll buy this set ))
Mine arrived by parcel delivery just yesterday. I had never read a review or looked at the specifications and I was blown away on the size of the box. Just watched this pretty good review and hear there are 70+ stickers. I usually don't apply stickers on the first build but I may need revisit that decision.
I'm extremely happy with this build and glad I got it. The Lego store I went to must have had about 100 boxes of these on display!
I can already imagine the MOCS of 20’s and 30’s cars with those wheels
Oh yeah, those will be insane :)
@@_broody2853 I would totally buy 4 of those wheels and start making cars, but the prices on the wheels are going to be INSANE
This is insane🔥
eyo guy with a chekmark and no likes and comment
👍
I first watched this video a couple of weeks ago.. and decided to order one. I just received the set today!! I am looking forward to starting it tomorrow :) My last build was the Lamborghini a couple of months ago... What a beast! Thank you for your videos.. keep up the great work!
Amazing, great set! Next level of Lego motorbikes!
Amazing work for this video!👍
Nagyon cool review , korrekt bemutatás, gratula!!! || Very cool review, awsome presentation!!
Awesome review!! Nice trick with the hands at 10:54 😂😂
I saw someone show off this set without stickers, and man, a white and black version of this bike looks a bit better in my opinion.
I don’t think I’ll pick this up, but it is very tempting.
I enjoy your reviews!
Once I'm done building the D11T dozer I'll be looking at this next year. Awesome review.
Very honest review indeed :) Thanks
Really good review. 👍
Thanks!
Thanks for making such helpful video
I think it's a really great set. Congratulations to the designer!
Awesome !! Size is great, especially for a moto !! Cool gear box.
Less fond of the color scheme and stickers and doesn't the front look a bit weird ? To be seen in real.
Look sturdy too.
Just finished building it this morning. It’s a beauty.
Thanks for the video! I loved the Ducati Panigale Technic and this one looks even more awesome.
BTW, you put your front tire on backwards. The thread should be reversed on the front.
Wow, a working gearbox and beautiful build!
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
I'm very excited about this one...
S1000rr is the road bike with mirrors, this kit is based on the track pack which has no mirrors; hence M in the name not S. Nice review. Also note that when the bike is on the stand, the rear wheel sits lower which throws the angle of the exhaust off more.
thanks for your détailled review, i just bought it on lego online. can't wait to see this bike in real.
Megint egy remekmű és persze egy király szett! Így tovább! :)))
Really impressive model, though the build/stickers look intimidating. Personally I really like the smaller scale of the Ducatti, as this is almost too big to display without it's own personal shelf, but the attention to detail accomplished here is second to none as far a Lego two wheeled bikes go.
Good video,Day one buy for me,I heard rumors of this set but had no idea of the size.Thats a huge set.I agree this looks challenging, but not so much the technic part But all those damn stickers. That looks like the hardest part
amazing man
I just want to help my fellow builders out. This is the most sticker heavy kit I’ve ever made. Bag 4+5 are basically every other instruction calls for a sticker. You can use a spray bottle full of 5% dish soap 95% water(it doesn’t have to be accurate) lightly spritz the part that gets a sticker and it will allow you to move the sticker into place and get rid of static cling. Simply dry the part and the sticker is perfect. Also “mr hobby” satin finish can be sprayed on the sticker parts(do it lightly or you’ll ruin the sticker) and then the sticker will stay forever. These are old gunpla tricks, but they work well for lego. Bag 3 is the rear swing arm and front fork. PAY ATTENTION! It’s easily the most complex technic thing I’ve ever built, and I own the motorized excavator. Happy building!!
i love you
Ten years later, that’s just an angry mess of peeling stickers. Shame.
I wouldn’t even use them i think
@@FunBoysGaming well I use them on some of my Lego technic sets I have
Re order the stickers online for free. Takes 2 weeks
@@ahyaan2552 pls tell me where can i order them 😢
You don’t buy Lego technic to take them apart, Lego makes sure of that lol
im not a BMW fan, and i normally dont buy ANY technic sets, but this set looks amazing and very detailed, even like the small brake pads. I might end up buying this.
Love it!
This model just arrived today - can't wait to get started.
Interesting point about the other models. MV Agusta make beautiful bikes would love to see one of them. Or even the Kawasaki H2 which is already very angular
Nice review
I hope in the future we can see a BMW m3 or an m5? Or this could be a preview of future MotoGP Sets! Just subscribed and cheers from south of Spain!
Love your vids
I really like this and looking forward to seeing more bikes in the future - Yamaha R1 please Lego!
Always appreciate your reviews as they are so in detail and so helpful and by the way can someone tell me what the app is as it also looks quite useful
Putting this LEGO set together was the most challenging one.
Its great, however the chain can break easily and putting it together can be a nightmare.
I Love this set!
This is what I need in my Collection!
Totally amazing
I have this bike and the details are pretty close to real life. Awesome
Great review. The new parts look fantastic but they make me a bit sad at the same time, as it does not feel lego-y to have so many parts that might well be one set specific. Maybe at least for the brake discs something like a printed existing round tile could have worked.
This thing looks amazing. Ich will buy this model for sure
I remember having a Technic bike in about 2000, wasn't a model of any brand just some sport bike with chopper as alternate model, but had similar size rims and tyres, it was big... It was also blue and silver.
Bought it for my 10 year old nephew. Wanted to give him a bit of a challenge. He finished it over a 5 day period by himself. He loved building it! definitely was worth getting for him.
I have just got this build and thanks for the video. I`ll definatly be taking my time on building this model. A very good video. Will let you know how i got on once it`s finished.
i love those new shocks
Finally some interesting set
Gearbox function is amazing!
Thanks a mill for showing the gearbox in action. I was sure I must’ve made it incorrectly since it seemed to me that the gear changes were out of order but your’s were the same so it must be right. I’m no bike expert so maybe this is how bike gearboxes are set up 🤷♂️
This is much bigger than I expected, I was thinking it wouldn't be much bigger than the Ducati, but this thing is a chunky beast!
I got this for my birthday and I was very pleased with it, it's my dream bike and it looks so beautiful
Got this set for my dad for his collection. He LOVES motorcycles
Hi , thanks for the review , but I must say , those stickers are a deal breaker for me. If those were printed elements , then it would be in my 'wish list' . Looks nice !! Happy Holidays , Dreamer
Having 80 single-purpose printed elements does not really make sense in the LEGO world. If you don't like stickers simply don't put them on, you can build a cool naked bike!
Nice Bike would be cool to see a H2R from Lego too🤙
Id really like to see further sets in the 1:5 scale motorbike lineup, and a few favourites id like to see include the Honda Goldwing (lego have only really made technic sports/superbikes so this icon would be nice), the Kawasaki Ninja H2 R and either the Ducati Multistrada v4 S or a KTM 1290 Duke
I think this is the beginning of a line of 1:5 bikes, like the Porsche was for the 1:8 cars.
One has to think of what is suitable for Lego pieces, especially Lego Techinc, imo a naked bike would be perfect, even this BMW looks better before the panels are attatched.
I would prefer if Lego chooses to make a whole bunch of very different motorbikes, custom bikes like cafe racers or choppers, vintage bikes like a Harley WLA, a Vincent, a Brough....
A pure motocross machine in this scale would also be very nice.
But I´m afraid they would only make licensed models of new bikes, like in the 1:8 car series.
Hi from France 🇨🇵, I can't wait to be able to buy this model to put next to my motorcycles 🤩
yessss! LEGO is starting bigger
Another great review. Thanks! ... Not really a bike guys myself and I hope this set does not delay the possibility for another 1:8 car set.
Or another truck anthem scale/style! ... The tow truck, when I eventually buy it, is way to loud and will be stripped from all pneumatics and moc-ed into a regular US double axle truck, without all the stickers of course. and a different color combination. But I'm getting off topic here ;)
About the opposite engine speeds in gears, racebikes often have inverted gearboxes (first is the highest up and 6th the lowest) but then the neutral is below first so the Lego one isn’t realistic in that. But for play it is probably fun anyway.
That windshield piece is completely bonkers. It's clearly designed for a one-time use only, moreso than any part I've ever seen probably. The only connection points are at 2 locations that are angled on TWO axis opposed to each other! I'm definitely trying to get at least one of those for a decent price and create some whacky spaceship designs with them, it's gonna be so much fun!
This looks very impressive 👏 day one for me the design if far superior to the ducati. But I did like the build on it have the Harley-Davidson yet to build . Be nice to have all 3 in my collection can not wait
I really hope Lego makes an H2R someday, even if it’s not a big set it would make me very happy
The M1000RR is a road legal race bike. You would not use wing mirrors on track, so the model is showing its track-ready configuration.
Love the content. The wing is on the wrong way on your 488 👍🏻
Thank you for very detailed review. I wish I'd watched it before building the bike 😂 I couldn't downshift so I tore it down. Well, it works now so I don't know if anything was wrong 😂😂 Now I'll put it back together. Should go faster since I tore it down keeping the assemblies.
The overall model is awesome.
It certainly is a challenging build if it requires 3 hands occasionally... :-) Great review as always.
Yeah it's in the manual, "use spare hand for mounting" :D
@@RacingBrick rlly?
Wow 😍😍
Really hope lego starts making more bikes!!
I might get this one
