That would mean a lot to me!
Todays video will be about a (to me) very interesting and beautiful cattleya orchid. I´ve picked out it only for THIS session. Specific traits, clips on it in bloom, now and then, oldies and newbees
Enjoy

This is one of my favourite cattleyas to I have it mine tried to bloom this year only to get attacked by some bug that turned the inside of the bloom black so I cut the bloom off to save the plants energy for next time... great video and repotting 👍👍👍
@@GazzybearsOrchidAddiction-i7o Thank's G! Well this is a tricky lady
.. that's for sure. But now some good thick roots are coming out to the surface with lovely long green root tips, to be honest I was a bit sceptical 😉
@@KarinsOrchids awesome 👌 👏 👍
I got a very similar one called Taiwan fantasy, but it is also a diva so no blooms yet. But I do have some other Catts in bud, should be opening soon😊
@@justinsdutchtropics wow that one was close to identical! Bet there are simular parents way down the ancestry tree? Easily catches black rot and fusarium, scale etc,, very sensitive cross but oh so beautiful with its Diamond glittering cover 😍
Interesting video. I had no luck with this Catt. hybrid but it was mixed with something else. Why did you soak in bleach?
@@roslynbarclay1000 Thank's for commenting 😉 It had thrips so I thought it would be a goid method to get rid of any eggs and nymphs lurling inside the soil / bark insude the pot 😀
Hello 👋
I like yellow cattleyas and this one is beautiful with the red also. 🤩 You mentioned it’s a bit ’difficult”… well more than once I have found that many of the cattleya complex hybrids are just difficult. 🤨 For some reason many are not so good with root growth etcetera. And very very sensitiv indeed. My species and primary hybrids very often root better than the complex hybrids!
Btw - Have you ever tried ”super thrive”? 🤔
@@CharlotteDessi Hi L! I can only agree...The spicies and primary both blooms and roots better for me. But there's just simething special about this ones blooms in particular I think. Diamond glittering cover and all. I bought a bottle super thrive from großräschener ones...its not emptied yet but..no I never got to try it out really..forgot about it as rhe bottle was so tiny...
Don't really think its magic in that bottle although I'd like it to be 😁
@@KarinsOrchids well it’s a bit expensiv 🤔
I ordered a bottle of orchid focus grow - should be interesting to test it! And today I found little buds in just a primary hybrid that has rooted so good in just 2 -3 month also! One of the bare rooted ones from Lucke/Brazil, CG Roebling ’Alba’ , fingers crossed the buds will go all the way, and that it’s the right plant! 🙏🤩🤞have a nice week 🌷
@@CharlotteDessi Ohhh that was a nuce cattleya! I have the cg blue indigo. Poor little slow growing plant ... Lucke always offers great cattleyas with loads if diversity to reasonable prices as well. Congrats to the buds! Its a nice fertilizer. Instead of orchid focus I bought some humic acids in powder form at the pet store. Works great for orchids as well as preparing black water conditions gor my fishes. Have a nice weel
Hej, once again... its GroSSSSSSräschener (groß = big). Großräschen and Schwerte are places/cities in Germany. '-er' actually means 'from Großräschen', 'from Schwerte', Wien (Vienna) ... Wiener 😉
Do you see a difference between using terracotta or plastic pots? Have a nice week and many regards!
@@annareiter952 😁😉 I know I know, its just very strange pronounciation never occurs in Swedish, guess I'm too old to remember 😁 Terracotta is superior to plastic, mo doubt about it!
