- My first attempt at sending Vintage Garbage Pail Kids cards to PSA return reveal video and apparently I still have alot to learn. #psa #gradedcards #gpk #garbagepailkids #bgs #sgc #adambomb
I couldn’t tell the difference between many of them. Centering looked great. Maybe the grunginess(for lack of a better term) of the card/border was the factor. The vibrance of the color plays a part and it could have been the backs of the cards. Minor scratches on the surface are hard to see as well. Good job tho and fun video! The 9s will all do well. Take care and enjoy the summer!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
this was very entertaining and i have some cards rare like handy randy bloated Blair and more
glad you enjoyed it. If they are in really mint shape you should consider grading them
@@thesandiegoupcycler2586 there like new i have a series 13 wrapper and 4th series wrapper but i opened it because at the time i wasn't rly into the cards and didn't know they were valuable. also a question i was trying to search the webs and try to find out how much handy randy is but i cant find a price
Rex Heuermann and Rex Ryan 😂
7:15 Topps owned Bazooka gum? They could use that.
Awesome video. I can’t tell the difference either.
Thanks. I have theory that the centering of the sticker cut may be at least part of the issue. On the PSA 6 Nervous Rex look how high (OC) the sticker itself is
Know where to buy ungraded series 1 collections or professional graders you trust? I have several series 1. Also like unopened packs.
@@McGeeZax1984 are you talking about buying or selling?
8:01 Probably judge the back of the sticker which you didn't show. Printing lines you cannot see with naked eye, marks, corners.
You are probably right. I wish I still had a few of these cards to check but by now they've all sold
@@thesandiegoupcycler2586 I see still sell, all good, get some 10 keepers.
The fronts look great on most of them, do they not give you a breakdown?
One thing I haven't tried yet is USB microscope because I have one around somewhere. They will use similar where they will examine it. No idea on their magnification size but you will see a lot more going on with microscope. Print lines, defects etc.
You do have an error of margin with the border as well. Even if one looks off it still could be in margin of error, measure each side or top and see what the difference is. That's how they do it and there should be a percentage somewhere.
I'm gonna sell all my vintage gbk I opened them recently from packs and they are mint.
Send me some pics via IG, would love to see them and maybe make you an offer
@@thesandiegoupcycler2586 ok I'll get some photos shortly it's alot of cards a few hundred.
Great bunch of cards. It seems very expensive to get them all graded at between $15-25 a piece. Does that generally pay for itself in terms of increased resale value?
It varies from card to card but overall yes it is definitely worth grading them (If they are pack fresh and centered). Raw cards go for $5-$20 and PSA 9s and 10s can go for hundreds, sometimes thousands.
Fun fact: golden plated nasty nicks exist.
I have hundreds of first and second series all in great condition what should I do with them
If you can take a few close-up pictures of a few example cards, preferably from series 1, and send them to me via Instagram in a DM. I'd be happy to take a look and give you a opinion. My Instagram is the same name as this RUclips channel
@@thesandiegoupcycler2586 ok thank you I will do that when I get off work
hey man I sent you a invite on instagram I have some pics of the cards
How much does it cost to have each card graded
It varies a bit as PSA runs specials but generally between $15-$25 per card
9:38 Yeah true because you don't show the back. The back is obviously mint without seeing it but the others?
Does psa return them to you in those protective cases?
yes
How much is an ungraded series 1 set worth?
it's VERY VERY condition dependent, but I'd say a complete set in mid-grade condition is somewhere between $400-$800
just curious, or do you have one you are thinking about selling?
