Radioactive Iodine Therapy | Thyroid Cancer Update

This treatment is called RAI, Radioactive Iodine or I-131 and is used in my case to kill off any healthy or malicious thyroid cells left over from my thyroidectomy surgery. Which I had because my nodule decided to go and grow a mass of papillary cancer. I have created a playlist of my cancer update vlogs in an effort to increase awareness and support of this condition. I am not a doctor or any sort of cool medical professional. I simply was inspired to share my journey with the world so that anyone else out there who may be going through a similar situation can know they are not alone.
But let me tell you, what a year it has been. Between the surgery, recovery and now the radio active iodine therapy, plus another surgery coming up - see my other update videos about that - I am sooo ready to leave all of this cancer mumbo jumbo behind.
If you are going through this treatment know that I am sending you virtual hugs !!! Expect yourself to feel tired and sore the first few days and I think I forgot to mention it but the dry mouth condition is real and you should have sour candies handy to help you through that discomfort. Otherwise, it really isn't THAT terrible of a treatment. The isolation / quarantine period is both relaxing and stressful especially for people like me who like to keep busy.
