By using SPDT electric relays to construct each logic element ( gates , flip flops etc. ) the state of each output for each input state can be known by what can be seen by the eye.
I prefer a T flip flop made from AND Gates , OR Gates , and Inverters . Although it uses more parts when constructed with integrated circuits it is much easier to understand. Ask me and I will send a schematic diagram to a postal address of your choice. At no cost to you.
